Some family sessions are about more than beautiful photos they’re about stories.

This adventure session in Donegal took us on a journey through places that held so much meaning for this family. We began at a cosy little Airbnb in Portsalon, full of character and charm. There were sheep wandering the yard, a swing overlooking the view, and the kind of quiet magic that makes you want to stay forever.

From there, we explored the stunning Pollet Arch before heading to a place that was especially close to their hearts the home where their great-grandmother grew up before she emigrated to America at just 17 years old. Walking through the old house, seeing traces of paint still clinging to the walls after all these years, felt like stepping back in time. It was an emotional and unforgettable experience to witness a piece of their family history still standing.

As the evening unfolded, we chased light, explored hidden corners of Donegal, and embraced the adventure. The kids through the fields, climbed, explored, laughed, and simply got to be kids. One of my favourite moments was finding a patch of daisies for Daisy some things are just meant to be.

These are the sessions I love most. The ones filled with adventure, connection, family history, and the little moments that tell a much bigger story.

Donegal, you never disappoint.

Rain was firmly on the agenda when I arrived for Shannon & Conner’s wedding morning in County Leitrim, but thankfully I had a good feeling about it.

The day began with showers falling over the woodland, family gathered in the quirky A frame cabins at Drumhierny Woodland Hideaway, and everyone taking things exactly as they came. No stress, no panic, just excitement for what was ahead.

And then, right on cue, the weather turned.

By the time we headed to the ceremony, the rain had cleared, the light appeared, and Drumhierny was showing off everything that makes it such a special venue. Surrounded by towering trees, beautiful greenery, and the most relaxed atmosphere, Shannon & Conner said their vows with their favourite people around them, including one very important little guest!

The night ended with Shannon’s daddy on the Drums!
He is in a band called the Beeksteak dancers. They played as their wedding band, how special is that!

Congratulations again, Shannon & Conner!

Leah & Oliver’s Donegal Elopement

What an incredible day celebrating these two as they eloped in the beautiful Donegal countryside.

We started in the early afternoon, where I captured all of Leah’s gorgeous details before the ceremony. She had so many meaningful little touches with her , her grandfather’s books, a special necklace that meant a lot to her, and even some beautiful seashells. It’s always those personal details that make a wedding day feel so unique.

After their ceremony at the church, we made our way to the stunning Doe Castle for some romantic portraits. And then something happened that I’ve been dreaming of for years! Lol

When we arrived, there was a local man nearby with some chickens, and he very kindly let us borrow one for a photo. I’ve been dying to get a wedding photo with a chicken for the longest time, and suddenly there it was, right in front of me! Safe to say it’s one of my favourite images from the day.

From there, we headed up to the breathtaking Lough Salt. The views were absolutely incredible, although the wind nearly blew all of us off the mountain! It was wild, dramatic, and completely worth it.

To finish off their perfect elopement day, Leah and Oliver enjoyed a beautiful meal at the fabulous Olde Glen Bar, a Michelin-recognised dining experience and the perfect way to celebrate becoming husband and wife.

Leah and Oliver, thank you for letting me be part of such a fun, relaxed, and unforgettable day. From meaningful family heirlooms to castle portraits, mountain winds, and even a surprise chicken cameo, your elopement had a little bit of everything.

Grace & Donal

Some couples just make your job ridiculously easy… and Grace & Donal were exactly that.

From their engagement session in the Poisoned Glen to standing in the very same spot on their wedding day, it felt like such a full-circle moment. The Glen has become their place, and I honestly couldn’t imagine a better backdrop for two people who are always up for an adventure.

The entire day at An Chúirt Hotel was relaxed, fun and full of laughs. No stress, no fuss, just two people completely enjoying every second of being surrounded by the people they love.

Now, I have to mention Grace here… not only did she absolutely float through her wedding day looking incredible, but she’s also a marathon runner!!

One of my favourite moments was getting all 21 bridesmaids and groomsmen lined up outside the hotel. Twenty-one! It looked like a wedding party straight out of a movie, and every single one of them brought great energy to the day.

The flowers were absolutely divine, guests travelled from overseas to celebrate, and there was such a lovely feeling of family and friendship around the whole day.

Then the evening arrived…

The dance floor didn’t just fill up it exploded!! From tiny feet to moms and dads, everyone seemed to have hidden dance talents waiting to be unleashed. If there was an Olympic event for wedding dance floors, this crowd would be bringing home gold medals. lol

Grace and Donal were game for absolutely everything I suggested throughout the day, which is every photographer’s dream. Their kindness, sense of fun and love for each other shines through every photo.

Thank you both for letting me be part of such an incredible day. Here’s to many more adventures together !

There are moments at weddings that stay with you long after the day is over.

For me, one of those moments was watching Mary’s dad look up at her during their first look.

From the bridal party celebrations in the morning to a beautiful ceremony surrounded by family and friends, every part of the day felt special. The evening brought golden light across the grounds, heartfelt speeches, and one very memorable surprise singer who came flying around the room like an energetic bunny while somehow singing like an absolute angel at the same time. She had everyone smiling, singing along and set the tone for a night that never slowed down.

From emotional first looks to sparkler-lit portraits and a packed dance floor, Mary and David were surrounded by so much love all day long.

Thank you both for trusting me to capture such an incredible celebration!

Kyla & Ryan flew all the way from America to wander the wild beauty of Ireland with me for their engagement session.

We explored the breathtaking Gleniff Horseshoe Trail, frolicked through the fields, stopped to pet a horse, spotted curious sheep along the way, and soaked in every windswept moment together!

Their love feels exactly like their upcoming wildflower wedding carefree, adventurous, romantic, and beautifully untamed!
