Happy First Wedding Anniversary to Owen & Orla. Memories of a great day spent with this fabulous couple come flooding back. The Portarlington Doors. How many can you recognise. We pass them most days of the week but just stop and admire the beauty.

Lough Owel , Mullingar Co Westmeath. A beautiful evening for watching the sunset over the lake. Full of boats and fishermen and millions of midges. . How were they ever allowed on the Ark. A landscape photographers worst enemy. Still managed to get a decent image.

Levitstown Mill, Co Kildare. A foggy misty very early morning but makes the scene I think.
Beautiful spot just outside Athy on the way to Carlow. A very impressive building even in this state.

Wishing a Happy retirement to Father Dooley. Time to rest up for him now and to take life a lot slower. All the best for your future. I have done many weddings here with Father Dooley and couples are going to miss his razor sharp wit and one liners that were legendary but were whispered at the alter but it relaxed the couple and always brought a smile to their faces. Some great days.

Shiphouse Portarlington Co Laois. So, so early in the morning to get this shot but having seen the weather forecast the night before for early mist there was nothing for it but to drag myself out of the bed and go for it. Happy myself with the results. What do you think.
