Recently I made a trip to the coast to hang out with a fellow photographer friend. She took me to some amazing local spots to photograph some coastal birds and other things. I can't wait to go back and hopefully photograph some Spoonbills next time.

Senior Year Is Here! 🎓✨

School is officially back in session, which means it’s time to start thinking about those senior portraits!

Senior year goes by way too fast. From the first day of school to graduation, there are so many moments that deserve to be remembered—and your senior session should capture who you are right now, not just what you look like.

Whether you're into the outdoors, sports, music, horses, cars, or simply want beautiful portraits that feel like you, let's create something personal and memorable.

📸 I’m currently booking senior sessions for the Class of 2027!

If you’ve been putting off scheduling your senior portraits, now is the perfect time to get on my calendar. Fall dates will fill quickly!

Let’s make senior year a little more unforgettable. ❤️

📩 Message me to chat about your session and available dates!

✨ Calling all Norwegian Fjord & Friesian owners ✨

The response to my Gypsy Vanner/Percheron search was amazing, and creating these portraits has inspired me to keep seeking out some of the more unique and beautiful horse breeds.

So now I’m looking for Norwegian Fjords & Friesians!

I’m looking for 1–2 Norwegian Fjords and 1–2 Friesians for upcoming equine portrait sessions.

There’s something incredibly special about these breeds—the strength and character of the Fjord and the elegance and flowing beauty of the Friesian. I want to create dramatic, timeless portraits that showcase what makes each horse unique.

Selected horses will receive a custom portrait experience, with images and artwork available for purchase afterward.

I’m looking for horses that are:
• Well-groomed and comfortable being handled
• Calm enough for posed portraits
• Owners who appreciate beautiful, dramatic equine artwork

If you have a Norwegian Fjord or Friesian, or know someone who does, send me a message with a recent photo and your location.

Here are a few of the Gypsy Vanners (and a Shire) I’ve had the opportunity to photograph recently, and I have to say… I’m having WAY too much fun with this! 😍🐴

Gypsy Vanners were just the beginning… now let’s see what a Fjord or Friesian can do in front of my camera. 🖤🐴

I got published! A couple of months ago Alyssa reached out to me to see if I could come photograph her dogs performing their tricks for an article that was being done about her by Triangle Family Magazine. I was more than happy to. Check out her story. They used the image I took with all her dogs sitting together.

One of the biggest perks of being a photographer? I know how to catch people at their best.

One of the biggest challenges of being a grandma to a 14-year-old? Convincing him to let me point the camera at him in the first place. 😂📸

Fortunately, every now and then I get a few great shots before the eye roll, the "Seriously, Grandma?" look, or the sudden disappearance.

Being a grandma means collecting memories. Being a photographer means I actually get to save them.

I may not win every photo battle, but I'll take every smile, every laugh, and every memory I can get. 💙

Here are a few of my favorites taken when he came to visit for a while.

Recently, I had the honor of photographing someone very special to me — my grandson’s senior and cap & gown photos. ❤️

As a photographer, I capture these milestones for so many families, but this one hit a little differently. Watching him stand there in his cap and gown, knowing that in just a couple of months he’ll be leaving for the Navy, made me realize just how quickly these moments pass.

There’s such a mix of emotions in this season of life — pride, excitement, and a little heartache knowing a new chapter is beginning. But I’m incredibly proud of the young man he’s become and the path he’s chosen.

These are the moments photographs become more than just pictures. They become memories we hold onto as life changes and our kids grow into who they’re meant to be.
