Recently, I had the honor of photographing someone very special to me — my grandson’s senior and cap & gown photos. ❤️

As a photographer, I capture these milestones for so many families, but this one hit a little differently. Watching him stand there in his cap and gown, knowing that in just a couple of months he’ll be leaving for the Navy, made me realize just how quickly these moments pass.

There’s such a mix of emotions in this season of life — pride, excitement, and a little heartache knowing a new chapter is beginning. But I’m incredibly proud of the young man he’s become and the path he’s chosen.

These are the moments photographs become more than just pictures. They become memories we hold onto as life changes and our kids grow into who they’re meant to be.

Photographing rescue dogs performing their amazing tricks.

One of my favorite parts of photography is helping people tell their story.

Recently I photographed a professional dog trainer and her rescue dogs for an upcoming magazine article. The goal was to capture not only the action and athleticism of the dogs, but also the bond and trust they’ve built together.

Sessions like these remind me that portraits don’t always have to be traditional — sometimes the most powerful images happen in motion.

Prom session with 3 friends. Had to change plans from couple’s poses to trio/single.

Recently I photographed some friends for prom, and the session took a bit of an unexpected turn. I had planned everything around a couple, but ended up working with three instead.

It definitely meant adjusting on the fly, but I love how everything came together in the end. Sometimes the unplanned moments turn into the best images.
