Sandstorm in a Teacup

In the summer we went back to Achill island to spend a week in the place I spent all of my childhood holidays. I loved it and still do! I debated whether to take my camera with me as it is so bulky and we had only booked hand luggage with Ryanair! Fair to say I sacrificed many an outfit and my straighteners to bring this camera. 🤣

I wanted to get some pictures of our boys on the beach. All was going so well until my eldest chucked a load of sand at me whilst I was crouched down taking their photos. I was distraught as it wouldn’t work anymore 😢 but a quick call to the wonderful Luton camera repair shop and they said that sand in cameras is pretty much all they deal with during the summer. They did an amazing job of repairing it. 👏 Note to self - stick to lavender fields and bluebells for outdoor photo shoots! 😆

Beautiful bluebells 💙

It has been so lovely to get out and experience the bluebells this year. I missed out last year as we were navigating life with a newborn and 2 year old but it was sooo good to be amongst the sea of blue again!

I haven’t advertised my bluebell sessions this year but I have received a few DMs about them. Due to the British weather not playing ball, i am therefore rescheduling until Sunday 14 May (please don’t ☔️) and have one slot remaining. Please DM if you would like to book. Thank you! Details below:
