Thank you Inspiration Family Documentary for this story award! These beach days can be rare enough in Ireland, so I’m delighted to have been able to capture it with this lovely family and share their beach day story in an interesting and engaging way. Caroline Dunne ❤️

“I know, I know. Weddings? I didn’t know you photographed weddings.”

Well, I don’t…usually.

But every so often, when there’s a genuine fit in what a couple is looking for and the way I love to document a day, I say yes.

This couple was one of those perfect fits.

Their wedding was intimate, relaxed, and full of the quiet in between moments that can so easily go unnoticed.

When I do have the pleasure of documenting this important day for a couple, it’s never only about photographing the big moments. It’s about documenting the relationships around them and capturing that feeling of belonging, the gestures of care, and the love that is both given and received in big and small ways.

Thank you Inspiration Family Documentary and judges for awarding these images that I hope captured some of the simple joys and pleasures of childhood.

It is not about photographing the end result of the activity; the sandcastles built or the seaweed farm created, but how you experience creating it together.

NEW SUMMER SESSIONS | Ballybunion beach sessions

This July and August I’m offering a handful of relaxed family sessions on Ballybunion Beach in Co. Kerry.

Sandy feet, wild & windblown hair, unposed moments that feel like your real summer, not a staged photoshoot. That is what these sessions are about.

Because the beach is so weather and tide dependent, I’m running these as waitlist-only sessions: join the list, and when conditions look promising I email the waitlist first with potential dates.

Send me a message or tap the link in my bio to join the list!

The timing never felt right.

Our living accommodation wasn’t ideal. We were travelling around too much. Life was just too busy.

Life is still busy, but now with things a bit more settled there’s more space to breathe (both mentally and physically), and so we decided to welcome in a new family member.

Meet Sammie.

We adopted this gorgeous 8-month old from Star Rescue Animal Shelter who took such good care of her while she and her sister patiently waited for their new homes.

While it has only been a week now since we picked her up, she is revealing more of her personality as she settles into and takes in all the newness around her.

So this is your heads up that a really cute dog may be making a frequent appearance on this account.
