This is something you absolutely do NOT need to worry about before your newborn session. 🤍

Your baby doesn’t arrive at my studio and magically sleep through an entire photoshoot — although wouldn’t that be lovely! 😂

There can be feeds.
Nappy changes.
Cuddles.
Rocking.
Wide-awake moments.
And sometimes we simply have to wait.

That’s all completely normal.

Newborn sessions are intentionally relaxed and unhurried because your baby sets the pace. We work around what they need rather than expecting them to work around us.
And eventually, we get those gorgeous, peaceful little moments like this. 🥹🤍

So please don’t worry that your baby “won’t cooperate.” They’re a newborn and I am ready for whatever they throw my way 😊

You bring the baby. I’ll take care of the rest. 🤍

Baby due in October or November? 🤍 Now is the time to book your newborn session.

Those first few weeks are incredibly fleeting — the tiny fingers, sleepy stretches and newborn cuddles change before you know it. 🥹

Booking your newborn session before baby arrives means there’s one less thing to think about once you’re in that beautiful newborn bubble.

I only take a limited number of newborn sessions each month to allow flexibility around when each baby arrives. Once those spaces are filled, I may not be able to accommodate additional bookings.

You don’t need to know exactly when baby will arrive, we book around your due date and finalise the session once your little one is here.

One of the questions I’m asked most often is… when should I book my newborn session?

And the answer might surprise you — before your baby is born. 🤍

Ideally, I recommend booking during your second trimester, or once you feel ready to start planning.
We use your due date to reserve a space in my diary, but of course, babies rarely arrive exactly when expected! Once your little one arrives, we confirm the actual date for your session.

For those sleepy, curled-up newborn photographs, sessions are usually best during the first few weeks after birth.

Booking during pregnancy means there’s one less thing to organise when your baby arrives — and you know your newborn session is already taken care of. 🤍

When choosing someone to photograph your newborn, price shouldn’t be the only thing you look for.

You’re trusting someone to handle, settle and position your brand new baby — and that is a responsibility I take incredibly seriously.

During every session, your baby’s comfort and safety come before getting the photograph. I will support baby where needed, never force a pose, watch their cues and make adjustments based on what they are comfortable with.

I am trained and certified in child safety and hold Tusla Children First certification, because I believe that working with babies and children comes with a responsibility that goes far beyond knowing how to use a camera.

So when you’re comparing newborn photographers, please don’t choose based on price alone.
Ask about their experience.
Ask about their training.
Ask how they keep your baby safe during posing.

The beautiful photographs matter. But the tiny person in them matters infinitely more.

You think you’ll remember everything.
The tiny fingers.
The little button nose.
The way they curled their legs up underneath them.
Those squishy cheeks.
The way they fitted so perfectly in your arms.

But slowly, almost without you noticing, they change.
And one day you’ll look at these photographs and realise just how tiny they really were. 🥹

That’s what newborn photography is about for me.
It isn’t just about creating beautiful photographs for you to share when your baby arrives.

It’s about giving you something that becomes more precious with time.
Photographs your child will one day look through.

Photographs that take you straight back to those first few weeks when they were brand new. 🤍

Because babies grow.
Photographs don’t.

What looks like a few tiny adjustments behind the camera becomes a photograph that will be treasured for years.

Newborn sessions are slow, gentle and completely baby-led. There’s plenty of time for settling, feeding and cuddles, while I carefully capture all those tiny details that change far too quickly.

Because they really are only this little once.

If you’re expecting, you don’t need to wait until baby arrives to book. I recommend getting in touch during pregnancy so I can reserve space around your due date.

Day 4 in Malta: We started our morning learning the art of making traditional Maltese pastizzi, and my little girl did absolutely amazing with the pastry. After stuffing our faces with delicious pastries, we headed into Valletta just in time to see the noon cannon fire at the Saluting Battery (a little loud, but so cool!). 💥
Wrapped up the hot afternoon walking the gorgeous streets of the capital before rushing back to the hotel pool to cool off.
Another perfect island day in the books.
