Saying goodbye to my best friend, my soulmate, my travel partner, my constant, my life companion, and the most faithful soul I have ever known has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do.
I knew this day was coming. And after all, I thank God, we were lucky enough to have 16+ years together. Still, knowing it was coming never made it any easier.
I could not be more grateful that you gave me your whole life. We shared some of the happiest years, and we lived through some of the hardest ones too. We went through it all together.
You traveled with me everywhere. In cars, planes, boats, even on horseback. You even came with me to college. You were there through every move, every adventure, every chapter. You were always by my side.
You taught me what love really is. How to love completely, unconditionally, and without ever expecting anything in return. You taught me what faithfulness and loyalty truly mean. You gave me a love so pure that I will carry it with me for the rest of my life.
God brought you into my life as the answer to a prayer I had many years ago. And somehow, He answered that prayer by giving me something far beyond anything I could have ever asked for.
You prepared me for this in your last days. You somehow knew how to make this goodbye a little gentler for me. Thank you for waiting for me to come back. Even in your last moments, you had the strength to give me enough time to be with you, to hold you, and to say goodbye together.
But it still doesn’t make it any easier. It doesn’t make it hurt any less.
You were the smartest, coolest, most loving dog anyone could ever ask for. And everyone who met you fell in love with you. There was something so incredibly special about you, something that people could feel the moment they met you.
You helped me become who I am. You helped me make it this far. You were there for me through everything, and I will carry you with me through everything that comes next.
You will forever be a part of my life. No one will ever replace you.
I will love you forever, Kiara 🐾Thank you for everything 🤎 wait for me in heaven.🪽
