🇮🇪 A bit more rugby action from today's fixtures! 🏉💪 This time, it's the Midland Warriors RFC Senior Women taking on Portlaoise RFC -Portlaoise Rugby Football Club.

After a chilly start to the day, the ladies were treated to a dry pitch and some lovely sunshine ☀️ Much better than the weather forecast might have suggested!

It was a tough afternoon against strong opposition, but the Warriors kept battling and gave it their all. Huge credit to all the players for their effort, commitment and determination out on the pitch. 👏💛💙

Here's a selection of photos capturing some of the action. Keep the heads up, Warriors — and well done to Portlaoise RFC too! 🙌🏉

Back on the grass this time, with a dry pitch and some lovely sunshine. Hard to believe it was nearly freezing this morning! 🥶

After a hugely intense, fast-paced battle, it all came down to the final few minutes. Garda Westmanstown grabbed the winning score to edge it 33–31! Talk about leaving it late!

🇮🇪 A few shots from today’s Leinster League – Division 2B game between Midland Warriors RFC and Clane RFC 🏉📸

It was a very tight one, with Clane edging the Warriors 17–15. Tough luck, Warriors! A really fast-paced game with plenty of action and fighting spirit from both sides. Just two points in it... so close!

The day stayed mostly dry, but it’s definitely getting cooler and darker as winter approaches. The joys of photographing rugby in Ireland!

Well done to both teams for a great contest, and fair play to the Warriors for giving it everything out there!

🇮🇪 A few shots from today’s Leinster League – Division 2B game between Midland Warriors RFC and Balbriggan RFC 🏉📸

Balbriggan came away with a 27–7 victory, but it was another great game with plenty of fighting spirit from both sides. Fair play to the Warriors for battling right through to the final whistle!

The conditions were dry and, for once, there was plenty of sunshine… perhaps a little too much light for the photographer! 😎 But I suppose we’ll take it!

Unfortunately, there was a serious injury to one of the Balbriggan players towards the end of the game. Wishing him a speedy and full recovery.

Well done to both teams for a great afternoon of rugby! 👏

🇮🇪 A few shots from today’s Midlands Bowl Final between and 🏉🏆

Three weeks after Birr edged the Warriors 14–12, the same two sides met again, and this time it was a very different story! The Warriors came out firing and put in a fantastic performance to take the Midlands Bowl with a 41–12 victory. 💪🏆

A great game from start to finish, with plenty of pace, big tackles and serious fighting spirit from both teams. Thankfully, the conditions stayed dry for most of it, although a bit of drizzle arrived towards the end to remind us that this is Ireland after all! ☘️😄

Massive congratulations to the Midland Warriors on a brilliant win and to Birr for a great contest. Fair play to every player who gave it everything on the pitch today. 👏🏉

🇮🇪 A few shots from today’s Midlands Women’s League – Group B game between Midland Warriors RFC and Birr Rugby Club .

It was always going to be a tough challenge against an experienced and stronger Birr side, who came away with a 54–5 victory (or roughly that). But the Warriors can still take plenty of positives from the game, including getting on the scoreboard with a well-earned try!

A great game to watch and photograph, with plenty of fighting spirit from the Warriors right through to the final whistle. The conditions stayed dry too, which made for a good afternoon of rugby. ☀

Congratulations to Birr on the win, and fair play to the Midland Warriors for battling all the way and getting that try on the board. 👏💛💙
