Eight years ago, and just five days old. 🤍

My little girl, Líadan, in one of those photographs that has become even more precious with time.

I remember putting her in the little hand-knitted hat and blanket that had been made by volunteers for premature babies, and wrapping her in the soft green cellular blanket from the maternity hospital. Nothing fancy. Nothing styled. Just a brand-new baby, exactly as she was.

And perhaps that’s why I still love this image so much.

There is something incredibly special about those first few days with a newborn—the tiny details, the sleepy stretches, the little knitted hats, the hospital blankets and that overwhelming feeling of how can someone so small possibly mean so much?

As a newborn photographer, I’m always drawn to images that feel real, timeless and connected to a story. Looking back at this one eight years later reminds me why.

Not every beautiful newborn photograph needs elaborate props or perfect styling. Sometimes the most meaningful photographs are simply the ones that hold a memory.

And this one holds one of mine. 💗

✨ MATERNITY MODEL CALL ✨

I’m looking for a beautiful expecting mama to take part in a special maternity model call at my studio in Ballyneety, Co. Limerick.

This is an opportunity to create beautiful, timeless maternity portraits in the calm surroundings of the Morning Star Photography studio, with gentle direction throughout the session.

You don’t need to be a model — I’ll guide you through everything. My aim is for you to feel comfortable, confident and beautiful, celebrating this special chapter before your little one arrives. 🤍

WHAT YOU’LL RECEIVE

✨ Hair & makeup provided
✨ A relaxed, fully guided maternity session
✨ 5 professionally retouched images as a thank you for your time

WHO I’M LOOKING FOR

I’m specifically looking for someone who will be 28–30 weeks pregnant on the day of the shoot.

I also have a particular aesthetic and styling in mind for this session, so you’ll need to be open to the styling, clothing and creative direction I have planned.

You’ll also need to be comfortable with your images being used online, on social media, on my website and as part of future marketing and promotional campaigns for Morning Star Photography.

A model release will need to be signed in advance of the session.
