There’s something about letting kids just be — the laughter, the wriggles, the way they light up when they’re mid-play with someone they love. That’s where the magic lives.

This was taken out in the meadow behind the studio, a little pocket of calm that feels a world away but is right on our doorstep. I never take that for granted and am very grateful.

These are the frames that matter years from now — the ones full of connection, not perfection.

Photos matter of those we love and hold dear.

My gran was a formidable lady — no messing, but full of love for those she loved 🤍

This photo is of me on my Communion… and while it might look beautiful, I remember it very differently.

I was a quiet, shy child, and the experience itself didn’t feel nice at all. I didn’t feel seen or comfortable… just small.
My gran, on the other hand, was delighted — and I love that she has this memory where she felt her best.

But for me, this image stayed for a different reason.

It’s one of the reasons I created Morning Star.

Because photography isn’t just about how something looks — it’s about how it feels.
Every child, every family that steps in front of my camera deserves to feel comfortable, valued, and truly seen.

The photos matter… but the experience matters even more.
Because that’s what you carry with you long after the moment has passed ✨

Now for a new frame as my gran wouldn’t be too impressed with this one 🤪
I know you’re with me everyday and will look forward to our fireside chats again in the next life.
