The Communion is one day. These family photos will be treasured for generations.

Unfortunately things didn't go exactly to plan as Tracey + family were hoping for some outdoor photos but the weather did not cooperate so we had to pivot that morning + move things to the studio!

That didn't stop us grabbing some lovely family memories of Matilda's special day. The sibling photos are always one of my favourites - even if it did take some bribing of Davin to hold his sisters hand on the day. 😆 But it was definitely worth it. 😍

Days like these remind us how quickly childhood passes—and how important family photos become. Communion days are a great opportunity to update your family portraits when the family are already dressed up and all together.

There will always be reasons to put off a newborn photoshoot. I'm so glad these parents didn't.

Both mum and dad are originally from overseas, so the arrival of their beautiful baby meant a steady stream of family travelling to Ireland for those precious first cuddles.

Despite having a house full of visitors and all the excitement that comes with a new arrival, they still made time to preserve these early days before they disappeared in a blur. And I'm so glad they did.

Because the truth is, there will always be something competing for your time in those first few weeks. Visitors. Feeding schedules. Sleepless nights. The never-ending to-do list that comes with a new baby.

But these tiny details won't wait. Their tiny expressions, their first head of hair, their finger curled tightly around yours.

If you're expecting and wondering whether you'll have time for newborn photos, this is your reminder that you don't need everything to be perfect. You just need to decide that these memories are worth capturing and I’ll take care of the rest. Send me a message or comment "NEWBORN" below and I'll be happy to help.

Fiadh's Communion Day called for family photos... and then some!

When the whole family is together, it's the perfect excuse for photos. Fiadh's family brought both sides of her family along, making it a wonderful opportunity to capture her grandparents, godparents and aunts and uncles, not just the Communion portraits themselves. These family photos will be treasured for generations.

We kept it fun throughout so Fiadh didn't bored and genuine smiles + giggles were plenty! Absolutely loved the gloves to match her dress - absolutely rocking it!

Not forgetting Davin and Dáithí in heir matching outfits - adorable!

I got a phone call this week from Hopskip Studios who are currently casting for the RTÉ family friendly series 'The Big Pet Project' to see if any of my clients might be interested in applying. You may have seen previous series of this programme, but they are coming to Meath to film for the next season in August and are looking for people to apply!

They are looking for unique, wonderful, talented and adorable pets of all types along with their owners and I know there are plenty of those following my little business here.

This is a chance to capture right now — without committing to a full session.
✨ Short & relaxed sessions - 25 minute slots.
✨ 2/3 different set ups.
✨ A lower investment than my usual full experience.
✨ Digital or print packages available and option to add on wall art products.

There are only 5 slots -once they are gone, they’re gone — so don't miss out.

Note: these aren't suitable for newborns as 25 mins is too short a time to guarantee a gallery of images as baby may need to feed etc.

Twice the giggles, twice the chaos, twice the memories.

Happy First Holy Communion to Lucia and Sophie. With their own dresses and head wear but matching bags, shoes and tights, these twin girls show their independence as well as their similarity.

Gerard was absolutely rocking his suit - can't wait to see him in a few years on his big day!

Loved the blue + pink shades this family wore - makes all the difference in the photos when outfits are coordinated.

Did the thoughts of a newborn photography session just seem too much to take on when you were expecting?

The thoughts of having to be somewhere at a certain time, remembering to bring everything you need and then feel camera ready yourself.

Looking back now, you wish you had captured that stage. It's not too late to capture memories with your baby. No stage is more important than another. They grow quick, you will soon forget little faces they are making right now, their progress with tummy time, sitting on their own, their first word, their tooth right up to their first steps.

Lulu absolutely nailed her Communion session ✨

Sharing a few photos taken at Ratoath Church after Lulu's Communion mass. Lulu's dress was stunning as were her fabulous curls.

Absolutely loved how Sally, Anthony and the girls all wore a beautiful blue + pink colour palette so their outfits coordinated perfectly in the photos.

Lulu’s little sister Sadie wasn’t too sure about the whole photoshoot idea 😅 but we still managed to capture some beautiful family moments amongst the toddler chaos.
