AMAZON DOWN across the board and ongoing for several hours:

This is exactly why you want good backups, at least better than Amazon's redundancy or lack thereof!

Very bad way of these guys advertising themselves.

All their platforms, including Audible, ACX.com, KDP (Kindle publishing) are down at the time of writing, apparently due to a missing stylesheet plus database connection failures (as I see it) that then result in all sorts of ensuing breaks and as well as tons of broken links.

Ouch.

YES, WE SCAN: Endlich haben auch die Deutschen gemerkt, wes Geistes Kind der "freundliche" Herr Obama ist. (Bisher war ja stets ein gemeiner Spalter, wer diesen feinen Präsidenten zu kritisieren wagte -- daß Obama kein bißchen besser als Bu...sh-II ist, wußten AFD, Tea Party, Ron Paul und andere "Spinner" jedoch schon ein wenig vor dem Flop von Berlin im Juni...

Die von Edward Snowden aufgedeckte Affäre um die NSA und das PRISM-Project jedenfalls dürfte nun auch die letzte Schnarchtüte auf den Boden der Realität von Obamas "Change" gebracht haben.

Damit im Zusammenhang auch der Hinweis, daß die Benutzung von Gmail (sowie anderer Google-Angebote von Google Search über g+ bis hin zu Android apps) nicht anzuraten ist: Google liefert routinemäßig Daten an die NSA.
