Tony G Murray Photography Tony G Murray Photography provides a professional photographic service and is based in the centre of Naas town. Kildare.

Tony originally studied Engineering and Mathematics at Trinity College Dublin and worked for many years in the manufacturing engineering industry. During this time he also practised Fine Art and Landscape photography, hand-printing all of his own work. He has had numerous exhibitions in Ireland and has received many awards at national and international levels including the Blue Ribbon Distinction

of the National de l'Art Photographique. In 2005, fulfilling a lifetime ambition, he left his job as Engineering Manager of a multinational company and became a full time photographer launching Tony G Murray Photography, in his home town of Naas. Having a very strong background in traditional printing he soon became an expert in Digital Fine Art Printing. He won the contract for copying and reproducing the WB Yeats collection for Lissadell House in Sligo. In 2006 he then set up an additional commercial venture, Murray Imaging Studios in Naas, Co. This successful company specialises in copying and digitising artwork and producing museum quality Digital Pigment Fine Art prints. He continues to sell his own fine art prints to national and international clients and is represented by Tuckmill Gallery, Naas. In June 2008 two of his images were awarded the Diamond Standard by the IPPA , the highest mark attainable. In 2009 Tony was awarded his Associateship of the Irish Professional Photographers Association, AIPPA.

Proud to share some great RHA news.
'Silent Forest 1' has been awarded the Friends of the RHA Annual Award 2025 at the 195th RHA Annual Exhibition.
Out of more than 4,500 submissions, two of my photographs were selected — and to have one recognised with this award is a real honour.
It’s especially meaningful to see photography acknowledged in this way, in such a respected space, and alongside such a broad range of contemporary art.
I would like to thank Abigail O’Brien, President of the RHA, for presenting the award, the Friends of the RHA selection committee and to the whole RHA team for a weekend I will never forget.
The exhibition runs until August 3rd — admission is free and I highly recommend taking time to make a visit.

A quiet moment in Naas that could’ve been lifted straight from the streets of Paris.
I had just left Barker and Jones after checking my photography stocks and spotted this while heading for a coffee at La Pause Café, the French café run by David just across the road. There’s something poetic about a Parisien-style moment unfolding on Friary Road - the artist at work, brushes scattered, sunlight streaming, and a little dog keeping watch.

Naas has its own kind of magic!

A closer look at the richness of Kodak Tri-X black-and-white medium format film. This cropped section reveals the depth and detail that analogue photography brings to life. The subtle gradations and textures are a testament to the medium's timeless quality.

📸 Introducing My Archive Collection – A Photographer’s Journey

For over four decades, I’ve captured moments that tell a unique story. Now, I’m opening my archive, sharing an image each month - along with the story behind it. From the technical details to the inspiration behind the photograph, each piece carries a memory worth revisiting.

To make this even more special, Barker & Jones in Naas will feature a 'Monthly Image', available in-store as a 20x16” framed, limited-edition print.

I can’t wait to share the first image in April!

✨ Tandy Bridge – Winter, rekindles childhood memories. ✨
Maeve Byrne, formerly from Naas, sent me a lovely handwritten letter (rare these days!) after discovering my Winter Collection at Barker & Jones. The prints took her back to childhood walks with her late father along the canal and her first job at Naas Gas Works.
She picked up Abbey Bridge – Winter as an 80th Birthday gift for a fellow Naas native and then purchased Tandy Bridge – Winter as an early Christmas Gift for herself. 😊
“It’s moments like these that remind me why I do what I do,” Tony says.
Kate in Barker & Jones has also used the Tandy Bridge – Winter photo as a background in her Christmas window. The collection captures the charm of Naas’s Grand Canal in the snow. These make the perfect Christmas gift for locals and those abroad who miss home.
🎄 Available at Barker & Jones
🎁 From €35 mounted, €145 framed

Brendan Courtney has been a longtime supporter of McAuley Place and, as Margharita put it, has given his time generously over the years, without limits.  I was delighted that the committee had decided to present him with the fourth image in my Next Chapter series, "Gan Teorainneacha / Without Limits."
I picked #24 in the edition for Brendan, purely as the year is 2024. Coincidentally, Brendan informed me that the 24th of a certain month is his birthday! A nice coincidence.

As a sponsor of The Beaufort Project, the next chapter of McAuley Place, I produced a composite layout of my four studies of The Luisne Garden titled, "The Next Chapter". The piece was signed by myself and Margharita Solon, the founder and now ambassador of McAuley Place. It  was auctioned at their fundraising dinner at Lawlors Hotel last week.
MC on the night was Brendan Courtney.
My wife Denise and I had such an enjoyable night!

> Mounted and framed copies of the individual Luisne Garden photos are available for sale at Barker & Jones, Naas.
