Sick Boy. From ‘Stigmatised’, a series of 17 duratrans in light boxes, first shown & commissioned for ‘Infectious’ at the Science Gallery, Dublin, with assistance from RCSI, Dublin. Now on their way to a collection in NYC. Sad to bid them farewell, but happy to have them in a new collection home dedicated to the arts and medicine/science.

Papier-mache model of the human eye crafted by Auzoux workshop. A model we both chose as one of our favourites in the medical object collection. Such models produced by French anatomist Louis Thomas Jérôme Auzoux (1797-1880) or his workshop of the same name were popular teaching tools in the late 1800s. The workshop produced models into the early 2000’s.
