CampusCreate Creative Challenges for all - NUI Galway
January - April 2016 This is about giving ourselves a place to practice and play.

CampusCreate, a space and practice, aims to encourage creative thinking across the campus and beyond in a fun and playful way. Creative challenges will be sent out through our website and social media channels.
12 different themes will be released over the course of the 12 weeks of Semester II 2016 and every day we will publish a prompt related to the weekly theme. People can interpret the challe

nge whatever way they like, draw, write, video, take a photo, remix, audio, whatever. We’re creating this twelve week project for people who want to be more active at writing, drawing, taking photos, making digital media, or anyone looking to cultivate more creative habits. This isn’t about “experts” giving you the keys to creativity; we don't hold any keys, and we’re all in this together. So, CampusCreate is a challenge to make being creative a daily habit. To make interesting things for others to see (or have fun trying), and to experiment.

If anyone around NUIG Friday 29th September this should be fun! 2 p.m.

Urban sketching is mindful, relaxing and above all a lot of fun. If you want to try it for yourself then join me for an afternoon workshop tomorrow in Galway City from 2-5pm, no matter your level. We'll meet at NUIG at 2pm (O'Donoghue Centre) and walk to Nun's Island to do some visual exploration.This special event is part of Architecture at the Edge this weekend, which showcases some of the West's most innovative buildings - and encourages us to think about our built environment.

You can book a place on this workshop for the once-off price of €12 and numbers are limited to just 15, so don't delay. Just go to www.architectureattheedge.com and follow the links to book. Bring whatever materials you have but I will bring a few spare sketching sets tomorrow.
