Wow, just wow, the absolutely surreal experience of seeing one of your images hanging in the National Gallery Ireland. Thats a win for me. Delighted to see another photographer Enda Bowe (Enda Bowe Studio) took the overall prize, huge congratulations to him. I was also blown away by a beautiful portrait by Niamh Smith,The Photography Hub - check her work out, its stunning!

Tweny tweny tweny fouh hours to go oo I wanna be sedated, eh no I don't, I wanna be wide awake and all set for the Zurich Portrait Prize award ceremony, tomorrow at the National Gallery ( If you're not a Ramones fan you might think my literacy skills need to be brushed up, you're probably right😉

Identity, family, memory, gender, aging, social change and diversity are among the themes addressed by the 26 artists who have been shortlisted for the Zurich Portrait Prize 2019.

The exhibition of the shortlisted works will open here on 5 October 2019, with the winner to be announced the following week. In a new partnership, the exhibition will run at Crawford Art Gallery from January to April 2020.

Just a wee bit excited to be shortlisted along with my partner in crime Dr Lisa Butterly in this years Zurich Portrait Prize for "The Day You Left". Absolutely amazing talent involved in this so it's really a big honour to have even gotten this far. Exhibition opening is 5th October in the National Gallery of Ireland 🤞
