I was fortunate enough to meet with Bunny O'Hare as she readied for her weekly gig hosting "Win, Lose or Drag" in The George Bar in Dublin. Originally from Northern Ireland, Bunny moved to Dublin to perform alongside Panti in The Panti Show (in which she still appears, each Saturday at Pantibar). In the interview, Bunny talked about her introduction to drag, her influences, her style and how she overcomes adversity in her everyday life. Bunny is an absolutely incredible queen and I cannot thank her enough for agreeing to take part in the page. Exceptionally talented with unrivalled rhythm, Bunny is also one of the most down to earth people you could wish to meet.

"I campaigned for eight years for marriage equality but that does not mean I want to assimilate into society. I've seen society and it’s so fu**ed up, so bias towards other people. It doesn't respect the individual, doesn't respect anybody who has independent thought"

"Drag isn't about someone coming up to you at the end of the night and saying "oh you look the best". It's not about that. It's about somebody expressing themselves. That's the whole point of the drag - it's caterpillar to butterfly stuff. It's supposed to be transformative, you're supposed to give up the boring person you are day by day and become some fabulous creature"

One of the first drag queens I ever saw perform and easily the tallest ("I'm like 7ft in drag"), I was lucky enough to meet with Pixie Woo to chat and take some photos. The first album in a series of getting to know some who have shaped the Dublin drag scene. The photos were taken in the ladies bathroom of The Hub (an underground club in Temple Bar) as Pixie got ready for her weekly hosting gig at PrHomo (which she does every Thursday night alongside Chanel and Mizza Queerius). I honestly cannot thank her enough for listening to my questions and allowing me be nosy and take some photos. She talks about her persona throughout the album but from where I was standing she is one of the most humble, genuine, down to earth queens in Dublin.
