Taken in the hedgerow at Laburnum Caravan Park Wexford. In this image I have captured two distinct elements of the Natural World. The Dung fly on the right resting on the leaf. On the left side of the leaf cluster, tucked into the fold, is a frothy, bubbly white mass. This is commonly known as cuckoo spit. A protective nest produced by the nymph (immature stage) of a froghopper (family Aphrophoridae), an insect often called a spittlebug.
