The Wildlife Photographer of the Year Competition is in its 49th year and attracts entries from professionals and amateur photographers alike – it provides an important perspective on the natural world around us. Judged by a panel of widely acclaimed industry-recognised professionals, the winning images were selected from 43,000 entries for their creativity, artistry and technical complexity. This
is a world-class travelling exhibition, showing the 100 winning images. The Wildlife Photographer of the Year is co-owned by the Natural History Museum (NHM)in London and BBC Worldwide. The 100 award-winning images from the Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2013 competition are beautifully displayed with each image accompanied by its photographer's story and technical details. It will be the first time that this exhibition is shown in Ireland and will be displayed in The chq Building, IFSC, the Docklands in Dublin from 27 June until 31 August. The exhibition is housed at the North end of CHQ, opposite Starbucks and right beside George's Dock Luas stop. The exhibition appeals to a wide audience ranging from photography enthusiasts, nature, animal and wildlife lovers or anybody who is keen to visit a world-class exhibition. It is also a perfect family event and for the younger audience there is also a kids quiz available in order to help them interact with the images and stories presented in the exhibition.
