A little lesson on kindness. Myself, Colin, and Bob were leaving Powerscourt Gardens last Wednesday. At the exit an elderly mother using a stroller was slowly navigating the exit Her adult daughter was helping holding the door father following behind. The daughter saw us You go ahead. No take your time we’re in no hurry, these two with me are walking at that speed too. Everyone laughed.Outside the dad said, I hear three NI accents.Yeah where are you from? Dublin.Really? don’t sound Dublin to me. More laughs. I’m originally from Limerick, but lived in Dublin a long time. You still have a Limerick accent. Did you ever hear of Willie John McBride? The boys say Yes of course Me, He’s some kind of sports guy? I’m not into sport. The lads got talking.naming other players etc. Colin asked if he’d played for Ireland.Yes.How many caps? 27. This went on as you can imagine when men talk sport. We were actually in a rush—I’d been herding them for hours, and they had a train to catch. Right, lads, get in for a photo. Big smiles, job done..His name is John Moloney. Be kind to old people. See them, give them time, tease them a bit. Suddenly they’re not ‘old people’ anymore. They’re just us, from the future. And when I say old man, he’s 10 years older than me. I’m old now too, but I’m only getting started and I feel, all of a sudden, I’m 10 years old again!

I don't know what I said, but it must have been funny! I love this one.

Everyone tells me they want natural, unposed family photos and this is a perfect example of one.
It starts with me, but it comes from them, who they are and what they give.
It's about helping them to forget the camera is there.

Dogs are part of the family too!

I always encourage clients to bring their furry friends along to their Family Photo Shoot Experience. Where as well as photographing them with the family, I like to take a few shots of them on their own. Don't forget the treats!

During a Family Photo Shoot Experience this little girl challenged me to catch her as she jumped across the shot I was taking of her brother. She didn't even wait for me to count to 3!
I was as impressed as she was when we saw the result, total fluke! Of course I didn't tell her that.

The portrait below was taken during a Family Photo Shoot Experience. Along with the full family group, we captured this special three-generation moment—grandfather, father, and son together.Getting everyone smiling naturally and all the heads in just the right position at that split second is a bit like juggling cats—but when it comes together it's magic.

We can do the same for your 2, 3 or 4 generation family too!

Watching Michael McIntyre’s Big Show tonight where he had Micheal Sheen as his guest and on his phone he had one of my Much Loved teddy bears, Gerry Ryan’s teddy. Gas.

The front of the studio was looking a bit shabby with the sea air, so as I was going to repaint it I thought a new colour would be good. I'm very happy with the result.
