I have made the decision to leave this platform as the political manoeuvring by Zuckerberg recently doesn’t fit with my own beliefs and ethics. I’d encourage others to do the same. I have also left Twitter for the same reasons.

It’s been a long time coming, very few people still interact on FB anymore so it’s no loss. I won’t delete the page as it’s been rumoured that bots are hoovering up deleted accounts (unverified!) I will continue to use LinkedIn to promote my business.

Thank you all for your support over the last few years, it’s hugely appreciated. Hopefully, in time, we’ll make some sense of all this nonsense.

A stunning day for a stroll as the early morning mist and fog hung around before burning off under the warm winter sun.

A great way to try and lose those excess Christmas Day calories!! 🎅🏻🚶🏻‍♂️‍➡️

Likely to be my last post of the year, this was one of my most interesting and enjoyable briefs of the year and saw the homecoming of Shackletons cabin from its brief base in Co.Donegal to the Heritage Musuem in Athy via his birthplace in Kilkea, Co.Kildare. Anne Cassin and the Nationwide crew were following the movement with interest which added a significant bit of interest to an already momentous event.

In a bizarre twist of fate, I spent a week long break in Llanwrst in North Wales and met a lovely elderly gent who had worked in Shackletons Hut in Antarctica during the 1970’s. Whilst the cabin itself had returned to Norway some years before, he was still fascinated by my story and the images that I showed him.

A huge amount of work and planning has gone into returning the cabin to its ancestral home and the cabin will take pride of place in the newly restored Heritage Museum.

This week's brief was a shoot I completed earlier this year for Kildare County Council following the opening of the fantastic new Machinery Yard & Salt Warehouse facility.

Most of my architectural work would involve residential properties, but occasionally I get to shoot commercial locations like this one. KCC's commitment to sustainability is all over this project and some of the features included are PV solar panels, energy usage monitoring, rainwater harvesting, EV charging, LED lighting to building and Near Zero Energy Building design. They nearly made me cycle home! 🚲

Well, don't we look swish?!! ❤️

In recognition of the visit of our antipodean brethren, our exterior was lit up in 🟢🟡 yesterday and even if we say do ourselves, we scrub up quite nicely 😀

Thanks to Andy of for the fab pic

This week's mouthwatering selection of images comes courtesy of a shoot recently completed for the sublimely talented guys at Sweet Cicely!

Each season they freshen up their menu and bring us even more delicious offerings courtesy of their Executive Head Chef, Giuseppe and the talented team behind the scenes.....and I get to photograph it all. Yum.

A wise woman (Ruth Murphy , Elevate Marketing) once told me that posting consistently on LinkedIn is a key part to a good marketing strategy. Three months later, I've decided its high time I started listening, so here is the first post of some work that I've done recently. Over the next few weeks you can expect to see more of the images I have taken.

I was shooting a boutique event at the fantastic Work IQ Tallaght and took the opportunity to photograph the amazing space at this new development in the Tallaght Innovation Quarter. Thanks to Jeanine Carpani for her help on the day.

Some more images from the Kingdom of Ciarrai. A drive from Waterville to the lovely market town of Kenmare and then back to Ballinskelligs via Molls Gap. It was a stunning day, with low cloud and gorgeous autumnal colours throughout. Its a truly magical place and worthy of all the plaudits. I never tire of it and have several images of the same places but they never look the same.

A rare opportunity to shoot for myself this week and what better place to photograph than the Ring of Skellig in Co.Kerry. What a place, it never disappoints. Even when the weather is poor it still offers up hauntingly good opportunities for dramatic shots. Thanks to my ever patient wife for putting up with the constant stops!
