The first days with a newborn are incredibly special
but they’re also physically and emotionally demanding.
Sleep deprivation, postpartum recovery, feeding adjustments, and learning a completely new routine all happen at once.
For a long time, I felt resistant about photographing very young babies - not because they aren’t beautiful, but because I understand how intense that stage can be for parents.
That’s why I often recommend waiting around 45 days.
By then, babies are more alert, parents feel more physically recovered, and the experience becomes calmer and more enjoyable for everyone.
These images were taken during Oliver’s first month — a stage that feels endless in the moment, but passes in the blink of an eye.
I’m so glad I got to be part of this chapter. 🤍🥹
