I figured it was time for a little re-introduction 👋

Hi to everyone new here! The main thing to know about me? I love photos, especially capturing my family (even if they don’t always feel the same 😂).

After over 14 years as a portrait photographer, I created The Photo Gatherer when I realised how many people weren’t printing their photos or even accessing them at all. That’s where photo organising became a big part of what I do.

I was lucky enough to find my community with The Photo Managers and became a certified photo organiser, which has been such an amazing journey.

Now, I get so much joy helping clients rediscover their memories and turn them into something tangible, whether that’s framed prints, photo books, or even videos. It truly feels like a privilege to do this work 🤍

How to organise your photos (without losing your mind)

1. Gather all your photos into one hub

Before you start organising, you need everything in one place.

2. Choose your location for your photos.

Pick one photo hub , Apple photos, google photos ….

3.Favouriting is more important than deleting

Deleting is exhausting, think in terms of making a highlight reel. Your best memories 💕

4. Become a search master 🔍

Let the modern apps work for you
Try searching Beach,dog,or a specific date and let it do its magic.

Your camera roll isn’t overwhelming, it’s just unmaintained.

Most people wait until it feels out of control and then attempt a full reset.
That’s exhausting.

Instead, try this:

Open Photos.
Search today’s date (no year).
Delete the blurry shots, duplicates, and screenshots you don’t need.

Two minutes a day prevents hours of cleanup later.

Save this and start today. 🤍

I don’t organise old photos by exact dates.
I organise them by clues.

When kids were born.
Birthday candles.
School ages.

I lay everything out, group by era, put each group in a bag, label it with a Post-it, and move on.
Close enough is enough when the goal is scanning rather than perfection.

Save this for the day you finally open the photo box 💛
