Laura

I am a photographer living in Cobh, Co. Cork, Ireland. Born and raised by the sea and country side, I was fortunate enough to grow up amidst spectacular scenery. That and with an innate artistic view to everything in life, I developed a passion for photography. I originally studied Interior Architecture and Lighting Design in Cork Institute of Technology. Before the recession in 2008, which seems like a life time ago, I was an Interior Lighting Designer for domestic, commercial and retail projects. You may have seen some of my work in many of Corks night life spots, restaurants or at the award winning lighting design at Rocky Island crematorium. At that time, I did not think that the skills I gained over the years creating, designing and illuminating architectural spaces would be the first step in following the light to photography. I truly enjoy photographing and capturing the emotion people display and the connection they have with each other. The best photographs I have shot are when people forget the camera is in the room. The best way I find in achieving that is a balance between making people feel at ease by connecting with them and by fading into the background of the event. Benny

I reckon I was born 5 years too early to appreciate when I was growing up how technology could be used to allow people enjoy photography and share their photos with friends and family at ease, almost instantly. None the less in my youth I was lucky enough to get my hands on a Nokia N95, a camera phone with a Flash!, this was rare in 2007, it was 3 years before an IPhone had a camera flash. “Who made that camera and who gave it to that man?!” cried my best friend as everything and everywhere was now in reach form my pocket. The Nokia N95 travelled with me from Dublin to London, Singapore, Japan, New Zealand, Los Angles to somehow living on the island of Cobh County Cork. Always capturing moments and always sharing photos. I am constantly snapping, recording and being creative, documenting my and the people around me, memories. Weddings were therefore a natural fit for using my photography skills and knowledge of technology. Allowing you to have access to all of your photos, allowing you to share your photos in formats you prefer, in secure methods. You can really tell when someone has put their heart and their soul into expressing their love, in front of their world on their wedding day. It is hard not to watch and be in awe, record it in your brain (and not your camera) and let emotions grab you but as wedding photographers we love capturing those moments. Those emotions fly into the camera lens, photographing them is a great experience. That’s not to say those who are more conservative in their own approach are any less of an experience, it is their own way, and that comes across, when you do it you own way and the joy shines through, in all light. We want to help you have your special day how you envisioned it. Call Us

We would love to meet you so please do give us a call and tell us your plans for your special day, Give us a call 0877003791.

Amy & Connor’s wedding day started with morning preparations at their family homes before everyone made their way to the church. The lads kept themselves busy in the usual fashion, while Dawn worked her magic on hair, Jessica looked after makeup and Tracy created some beautiful floral displays for the day.

After arriving in style in a vintage car, Amy & Conor exchanged vows surrounded by family and friends. One of the standout moments in the ceremony was when Niamh Hogan and the school choir had more than a few guests reaching for tissues — happy tears, of course.

The celebrations continued at Fernhill House, where the weather gave us a break just in time to get outside for some photographs in the gardens. Guests enjoyed music from Cathal Fitzpatrick during the drinks reception, speeches in the drinks reception, a surprise appearance from the singing waiters and even a Champions League match that proved to be surprisingly strong competition for the wedding entertainment 😂 The dance floor was then handed over to Cosmic Funk to finish the night.

Huge congratulations to you both 🤍

Deirdre & Brendan knew exactly how to do a wedding day right 🤍

The day began at Garryvoe Hotel, with the lads grabbing a pint in The Horseshoe Bar while Deirdre and her girls enjoyed a relaxed morning with Lynn O’Leary on hair, Ruthanna on makeup, and Bloomsday creating the bouquets.

After a short trip to Sea Church, the ceremony was filled with personal vows, plenty of laughs, and a few memorable moments along the way, all accompanied by the incredible Delta String Quartet.

From there, we headed to Ballycotton Cliffs and Garryvoe Beach for some photos before making our way back to Garryvoe Hotel for some fun bar shots, impressive Guinness pouring, and plenty of bridal party craic.

Guests enjoyed the drinks reception with Delta String Quartet providing the soundtrack, before everyone gathered for speeches in the library.

DJ BMD looked after the grand entrance, The Stars got the dance floor going, and DJ BMD finished out the night with the floor packed right to the end.

A brilliant day with a brilliant bunch of people. Congratulations again guys 🤍

We had the pleasure of capturing both photo and video for Agnes & Kieran as they celebrated their wedding day surrounded by family and friends.

The day began in their family homes with Jeanette Cronin on makeup, Sandra from Allure on hair and the dreamiest white peonies by Breda creating beautiful floral touches throughout the day.

After a fun-filled ceremony with Father Pat in Agnes’s parish church, complete with his signature end-of-mass selfie, we made our way to Muckross House and Gardens for bridal party and couple portraits. The weather could not have worked out better, a little wind adding the perfect bit of drama to Agnes’s incredible veil and gown. Agnes’s veil was something we hadn’t seen before, make sure to check out the details throughout the photos.

The celebrations continued at the Killarney Oaks Hotel with a gorgeous drinks reception, a homemade wedding cake by Agnes’s mom and uncle, and No Strings Attached AKA the MBMs keeping the dancefloor full all night long.

A seriously special day from start to finish. Congratulations again guys 🤍

Mary and Paddy flew home from Australia with little Lily in tow, picked Beaufort for the big day and somehow managed to get a dry spell in the middle of a very cloudy Kerry day for the trip up the Gap of Dunloe.

The morning started with Laura Lou on hair, Sharon O’Sullivan on makeup and All About Flowers creating stunning bouquets and ceremony styling at Beaufort Church.

They arrived in serious style thanks to Horgan’s vintage car, said their I do’s in Mary’s home parish and had guests serenaded by Aoibhe O’Connor and her dad Brendan before escaping up the mountains for photos between the rain showers.

Then it was straight to the Killarney Oaks, where the speeches were hilarious, the kids claimed the dance floor early and Arclight kept the party going for the rest of the night.

A brilliant day from beginning to end, congratulations Mary, Paddy & Lily 🤍

Aisling and Shane celebrated the whole day down in Fernhill House, from morning prep right through to a packed dance floor and it was the perfect day for it.

The morning started with Allure makeup and The Hair Tool looking after the glam. West Cork Flowers adding even more colour to the Fernery with some beautiful floral decor. We also got to meet Orla McCarthy for the first time, who led a ceremony that included plenty of stories about their Chocolate Labs. They would have loved to bring them along for the day, but there may have been slightly too many Chocolate Labs involved for one wedding.

The ceremony was so good they walked back down the aisle twice, definitely one for the memory bank.

Pizzazz Violin looked after the ceremony music, live drawing kept guests entertained during the drinks reception and Aisling and Shane got to make the most of the gardens around Fernhill for their photos before heading back out to spend time outside with guests during the drinks reception.

The cake by Trace of Cakes featured their dogs again and for the first time we came across a popcorn machine where guests could help themselves throughout the evening. Safe to say the kids and big kids absolutely loved it.

J90 had the dance floor full from the first song.
Huge congratulations to Aisling and Shane, it was a pleasure to be part of it all.

Saoirse and Jordan celebrated with their two kids, Bonnie and Ezra, down at Inishannon House and somehow managed to pull off one of those weddings where everything just worked exactly as it should.

They got the outdoor ceremony they were hoping for in the gardens, with Linda Foley leading the ceremony and Eimear Coughlan on harp setting the tone from the start. There were hand fasting rituals, readings, great weather and a crowd fully up for a good day.

Saoirse and the bridesmaids also deserve serious credit for building the floral arch themselves, plus all the details they put together throughout the day. Genuinely impressive stuff.

They kept the photo session short so they could get straight back to the drinks reception with their guests, while Ger Kearney wandered around casually making everyone question reality with card tricks.

No cake either, they went with a cheese tower instead, which was definitely a crowd pleaser.

A few hilarious speeches later, Saoirse’s brother stepped into full emcee mode introducing them into dinner and then The Old Moderns took over the evening and packed the dance floor.

We had the pleasure of capturing both photo and video throughout the day, always a good sign when you leave a wedding already looking forward to editing it. Congratulations again guys.

Mary and Shane celebrated their wedding day at Dunmore House Hotel. Our first outdoor ceremony of the year and it set the bar very high. Signature Hair and Andrea Moore took care of the glam. Howe Hill Flowers created a truly magical meadow aisle along with a stunning arch making what is already one of the most picturesque cliffside ceremony spaces in Ireland somehow even better. The bride with her bridesmaids made full use of the flowers in ways myself and Flicky are still recovering from 😂

Meanwhile the lads were busy having great craic with Benny

After saying I do they rolled straight into outdoor photos followed by a drinks reception with views only West Cork can deliver. There were lawn games for the adult child inside use all 😉 bouquet toss that got competitive very quickly, a fun entrance and then the hollies arrived and the dance floor never stood a chance.

Congratulations again Mary and Shane it really was a pleasure and we loved every minute of it!

Katie and John did it right, from morning laughs in the family homes, dogs, cows and proud farm dads included, to glam, suits, sunnies and dresses.

Enchanted Flowers working their magic again, a lively ceremony with Father Padder keeping everyone laughing, looking after the I Do’s and wowing everyone with his memory of every person he has met over decades. A well timed break in the weather for photos in Charles Fort with a seriously fun bridal party.

On to Actons Hotel for a buzzing drinks reception, a stunning cake by John’s sister Sheila and Hell for Leather bringing the dance floor properly to life.

Some days just have it all, this was one of them. Congratulations Katie & John 🫶

Mari-Claire, Christopher and their son Zack picked the exact day the sun decided to show up. Morning prep at home, straight to Mari-Claire’s parish church to say I do, surrounded by their people and beautiful florals by Howe Hill Flowers, with coffee van refreshments outside for all the guests to enjoy in the sunshine.

A vintage bus kept things moving, houses to church, church to photos, photos to Kinsale Hotel, everyone riding together and making the most of the journey.

We made a quick stop at Mari-Claire’s parents’ garden just around the corner, every detail thought of, including some homemade confetti for some amazing photos.

Then into Kinsale Hotel for a lively drinks reception, speeches that definitely delivered and a packed dance floor thanks to Up to 90.

An absolute pleasure to be part of, congratulations guys.
