Platform3 was set up in late 2013 by Photographers Mike Brown, Dave Edmunds to provide a photographic resource centre for photographers working at all levels and in a variety of photographic styles and media. Based in the heart of Cork city, we hope to provide photographers of all abilities a resource they can use for their photographic needs and projects. We have a fully equipped Studio for hire
which has some very interesting features. For those who still enjoy the sweet smell of chemicals we also have fully equipped Darkroom for hire. We will be running Photo Workshops and Photo Courses, lead by many different tutors, on a wide range of photographic subjects including Digital photography, Post processing, Video on DSLR, Studio Lighting, Analogue film developing and printing and some wonderful Alternative and Vintage photo and printing processes. We will also be organising some guest speakers to give lectures and talks about their work. Our aim is that we can assist those who are starting in photography and to provide more experienced photographers a place they can use to help them with their projects or work.
