An evening that felt like a little scene from a film.

Quiet streets, warm lights, a bouquet in hand, and two people just being themselves. This is what I love about photographing couples! it’s never really about posing, it’s about those small moments when people relax, laugh, and forget the camera is even there.

A little Victorian-inspired moment in the woods. We leaned into a moody old-world atmosphere, using candlelight as the only real light source to guide the portraits.

The styling, outfits, props and hair were beautifully put together, and the makeup gave everything a soft, timeless finish.

A lot of the inspiration came from my recent visit to the Alte Nationalgalerie in Berlin. Those painterly portraits really stuck with me, so I wanted to try shaping the scenes using only candlelight. The gentle highlights wrapping around their faces added such a dreamy, intimate feel.

The moment the idea sparked to shoot with Shannen & Iga, I knew it had to be nature inspired 🌿
They felt the call of nature just as strongly, nymphs at heart and completely at home among the trees.
These two aren’t strangers to the wild, and it was such a pleasure to bring this vision to life with kindred spirits in these magical woods ✨

There’s something really special about creating stories like this, where imagination, connection and nature come together so effortlessly.
