Taken last Saturday night. There was a small bit of aurora in the night sky, It was not that strong and barely visible to the naked eye but the moonlight lit up the foreground nicely for the picture.

Aurora was back in the skies of Donegal last night.

Captured this image looking across Ballymastocker Bay, near Portsalon, Co Donegal. It was just before midnight, a lovely display while it lasted, however the clouds soon rolled in shortly after this.

The mysterious Northern lights decided to make a big appearance in the sky's of Donegal once again last Sunday the 26th February.

It has been nearly 3 years since I last got out to photograph the aurora, so was delighted to witness and capture this display, like many others.

The pictures do capture more than what you can actually see with the naked eye, but I was still able to see the vivid reds and greens dancing about on this night, a sight to behold.
