Funnily enough my editing queue is on pause right now so I’m taking full advantage of this little lull before things get crazy again.

I had my front porch sessions this past weekend and they were SO fun. Think chickens running around at one house and an impromptu dance recital at another 😂 These sessions are always such a fun glimpse into every individual family and I honestly love getting to feel like a tiny part of the family for a little while:)

We finally got my brother moved out to Richmond for his new job! Pray he does well and finds his niche because I’m really excited for this next stepping stone in his life. Moving was a…experience. Yes. That is what we will call it 😂 BUT I got a sweet furry visitor out of the deal and Delilah got her best friend back for a sleepover so all is well.

I also got to go back to Longwood!!! Ever since they implemented their new policies I haven’t been able to do nearly as many sessions there so this felt like such a treat. And the couple was SO sweet and fun!

And honestly? The new policy is entirely worth it. At first I was not too keen on basically having a babysitter while I tried to create magic 😂 but Sharon was THE BEST. She knew exactly what was blooming, shooed away crowds, saved us so much time and genuinely helped the flow of everything. And then when the heat started getting to us she pushed my cart 😭 How sweet is that?? I always knew I loved Longwood but now I’m hopelessly devoted.

There’s also a lot happening behind the scenes right now but in just two short weeks I’ll officially be moving and grooving every weekend again. Virginia, Brookside Gardens, then up to OC and honestly I can’t wait. It’s going to be such a full season in the best way and I’m really excited for all the love and stories I get to be part of.

Good news: I had absolutely zero desire to come on here last week… so I didn’t. And honestly? The changes happening within me lately have been well worth missing a few things online.
Life has been full in the best kind of way. After thinking I had fully recovered from being sick, the infamous two-week post-sickness exhaustion absolutely humbled me. HARD. But somehow, between the exhaustion and the chaos, there have been so many good moments too.
Saturday’s Mother’s Day Front Porch Sessions here in Maryland were such a joy, and I’m so excited for the spring sessions coming up this weekend! Between photographing sweet families, editing galleries, helping my brother move, and keeping up with wedding season, life feels busy — but very good.
The rainbow this week was unreal, and the storm that rolled through? Incredible. There’s just something about lightning splitting across the sky that fascinates me every single time. Although somehow it always happens while I’m driving, which feels a little unfair.
Delilah got her summer haircut (yes, I realize it’s currently 60 degrees outside). My mom came down to help my brother move, which meant we got a delayed Mother’s Day dinner with steak and cake — honestly a perfect combination.
This Maryland and Northern Virginia wedding photographer is loving life… just maybe a little tired too. I finished Sweet Magnolias, and now I need a new comfort show until the next season comes out. I’m thinking The Way Home. I’m still soaking up sunshine with a good book when I can and diamond painting at night, though editing season has definitely pushed some hobbies to the side lately.
Also — my mom gave me a new devotional and it has been so calming that I started pairing it with my morning stretches, which was honestly a brilliant decision. My little project this week was finally going through all the jewelry my mom passed along while preparing for their move. I cleaned everything up and made it sparkle again, and somehow moving ended up having its perks: I found an old jewelry box from when I was little and started using it again. Apparently younger me had pretty good taste.

Life lately—slower than usual.

This week looked a little less like constant movement and a little more like rest. Being sick forced me to slow down, stay home, and actually take a breath for once.

Between recovering, editing galleries from Ireland, and photographing the sweetest proposal, it was a quiet kind of full.

Not every week has to be packed to be meaningful—sometimes the slower moments are the ones you need most.

5 Minute Session | 3 images | $55

Here’s how it works: Once you submit your location, I’ll plan a route based on everyone’s locations and stop by for a quick 5-minute spring photo session right on your front porch. I'm so thrilled to be back on your front porches and watch your families grow! And for my new families: I am so excited to meet you!

You also have the option to extend the session to 30 minutes or a full hour if you’d like more time!

FAQ:

When is this happening?

The sessions will take place the weekend of the 16th and 17th.

What’s included?

For a $55 fee, you’ll receive three edited digital images, delivered through an online gallery.


Can we meet somewhere other than my house?

Yes! As long as parking is free and easy to access, feel free to provide the location in the sign-up form.


We’re not in the DMV area. Can we still participate?

If you can get enough people in that area interested, I will definitely add a new date for your location!

Ive been having a wonderful little life lately:)

I highly suggest turning in the sound.

I did a full phone detox for a week and I feel more energized, more creative and I'm noticing more!
Needless to say, this practice will be continuing:)

It has culminated in this beautiful journey or "photo dump" above.
