Randoms from Summer ⛱️.
There were long hot days of endless sunshine and blue skies.
Days when I was productive on a grand scale and days when I was no good for nothing or no-one!
High temperatures afforded me the perfect excuse to take on a slower pace.
Days I worked in the garden and days when I simply lay in it.
Evenings spent sitting in a garden chair as the sun began to lower.
With the scent of white roses filling my head.
Summer dresses with patterns of pinks, yellows and reds were worn to tea with friends.
Laughs, tears and honesty shared over cake...and more cake!
Looking back to shore at sunset as a salty sea rose above my knees and hips and swallowed me whole.
Days that brought pain, rescued by the joy of a dahlia in full bloom.
Thankful for a beautiful summer.
