A few candid moments captured at the Corscadden family get together along with workers, staff and friends for the soft opening of Gartlans pub with it's new owners Adam, Therese & Family. It was an absolute brilliant night with music as normal in the bar.

They are looking forward to opening the doors to the public on Saturday.

Needless to say, I was delighted to capture a sequence of images this evening of the Solar Eclipse before it was completely covered by dense dark clouds which was about 96% coverage.

The last time anyone would have seen an eclipse of the sun on the 12th of August was in the year 1654.

However for those of you that missed all this, there will be another one on the morning of the 2nd of August next year at around 9am

The annual Blessing of the Graves and Sunday Mass with Fr. Gerard Mac Cormack PP and Fr. Joseph O Reilly ( Kingscourt) who is home from Tampa Florida. along with members of the church folk choir .
