Carrickmacross Camera Club The Camera Club is setup with the hopes of sharing information with all those interested in Photography. We are located in Carrickmacross Co. Monaghan, Ireland.

Dear Members

The National Nature & Wildlife Competition (NNWPC) is now open for entries from today August 24th (midday) to Sept 14th (9pm)

All information regarding the competition can be found in the Competition Handbook, which is available to download.

New this year: our competition will also facilitate Non-Advanced members. Full details regarding this classification and eligibility are included in the Competition Handbook above.

Join photographer Julie Corcoran for a six-week introduction to analogue photography and explore the fundamentals of shooting on film.

This hands-on course will guide you through the essentials of using a manual SLR camera—from loading your first roll of film to developing your own negatives and creating a darkroom print. Whether you're new to film photography or looking to build confidence with your camera, this course offers a practical introduction to analogue techniques.

🎞️ Participants must bring their own analogue SLR camera. One roll of 35mm film is included.

The Old Monaghan Society is honoured to launch the second year of the very successful Martin Connolly Memorial Digital Photographic Competition to coincide with Heritage Week 2026.

The competition, which has a Co. Monaghan Heritage theme, will run from today Saturday August 15th to Saturday September 12th.

The Martin Connolly Perpetual Cup will be presented to the overall winner with 1st, 2nd & 3rd prizes sponsored by the Cross-Border Woodturners Group.

Our annual Photo 2026 Exhibition opens on Tuesday 4th August at dlr LexIcon, Dún Laoghaire.

Featuring over 100 images from Dublin Camera Club members, the exhibition showcases a wide range of photography, from wildlife and landscapes to people, sport, architecture and documentary.

Admission is free, so if you're in the area, we'd love you to drop in.

Drogheda Photographic Club Exhibition 2026

Drogheda Photographic Club are holding an exhibition of photographic prints at the AIB Bank Dyer Street Drogheda.

The exhibition which includes work from a significant number of members, runs from Monday 17th August to Thursday 27th August, during bank opening hours.

The official opening of the exhibition takes place Tuesday 18th August 6.30pm - 7.30pm.

Everyone is welcome to come along and view this superb collection of prints.

All at Drogheda Photographic Club wish to express their appreciation and thanks to AIB Drogheda County Louth for the use of their premises, and their fabulous cooperation with our exhibition. Drogheda Photographic Club also thank Louth County Council for their support for this event.

The RTE Weather Competition is now in its 25th year, offering amateur photographers the opportunity to showcase and share their talent.

Entry for the summer season is now open and entries can be uploaded at rte.ie/weathercomp until midnight on Sunday 26 July.
