Happy Lá Bealtaine to all!
In the Celtic calendar, the beginning of May is known as Lá Bealtaine. It marks the transition from spring to summer or from the season of rebirth to the season of growth. Traditionally, the first days of summer were celebrated with a joyful festival of flowers, dancing and bonfires to ensure a fruitful season and to protect humans and animals from harmful spirits, who were believed to be especially active around this time.
