Dympna Casey Studios Brand development, marketing, design, commercial photography Ive been on this creative journey since 2003.

Irish born, raised in Clare, educated in Limerick, currently based back in Clare, and worked all over Ireland. Ive been very fortunate to have the career Ive had so far, from one creative industry to the next. Ive had the privilege to work in the art department in Irish TV, & Film in Dublin and Cork. Ive worked in-house, contract, and freelance in Photography since 2014. From shooting & retouching

some of Irelands top brands, to doing the same for small local businesses , local bands, actors, models, and private clients. Ive also designed logos, posters and banners for lots of talented friends and businesses along the way too.

In 2019 I set up and ran two business in the pandemic, and learnt a lot with them. First came PackshotStudios.ie, a pack shot and product photography service for local businesses in the Munster region. Then came Velvet Photo Productions, a portrait studio and service for anyone who needs professional portraits shot in a studio style.

In 2022 I decided to go back in-house. I took the opportunity to work for some big Irish household names in Interiors, and in Fashion. Shooting products, pack-shots, lifestyles, and models, for uses on billboards, national magazines, packaging, posters, POS, websites, social media and anything else that was needed.

Its been a fun journey so far. I'm really looking forward to seeing what the future has in store.

My very first photoshoot. 🤍

And first, before anything else… this is about Giz.

Colin (Giz) was the very first model I ever photographed. He was such a brilliant guy to work with — fun, patient, and clearly a natural in front of the camera.

He might look absolutely pi**ed off in these photographs, but I promise you… I ASKED HIM TO LOOK BADASS. 😂

Today, completely unexpectedly, his sister got in touch after seeing one of the photographs from this shoot that I posted back in 2017. She was looking for any other images I might have of him.

Sadly, Giz passed away a few months ago, so finding these again today feels a little more meaningful than it otherwise might have. It’s strange how photographs can suddenly become something much bigger than you ever intended when you took them.

And, in a very important piece of historical information I have only discovered today…

🥣 Crunchy Nut was NOT his favourite cereal! 🫣😂

He was a great actor on the day… never took a bite… and now I know why. 😂

Happy 4th of July from Irish Dresden! 🇺🇸🇮🇪

Today America celebrates a truly historic Independence Day — 250 years since the Declaration of Independence was signed in 1776.

For us at Irish Dresden, this milestone stirs proud memories of our own special connection to America's First Families.
Following the 200th anniversary of American Independence in 1976, our handcrafted porcelain lace figurine "Reading the Family Bible" — depicting George and Martha Washington — was presented to First Lady Rosalynn Carter, wife of President Jimmy Carter. In 1988, First Lady Nancy Reagan was also presented with "Reading the Family Bible" — America's first First Couple, captured in delicate porcelain lace, gracing the White House across two presidencies.

Every one of these pieces was delicately handcrafted and painted in Dromcolliher, Co. Limerick — the same way we still craft each figurine today, continuing a family tradition that stretches back to 1907, from Rudolstadt-Volkstedt in East Germany to the heart of West Limerick in Ireland.

To all our American collectors, customers and friends: thank you for over 60 years of loyalty, warmth and love of what we do. Today we celebrate with you. Happy 250th, America! 🎆
