2019 was a very tough year for me and my family. Dad got ill early in the year and ultimately passed away in August. I'm looking forward to 2020 with optimism and hope that it will be a much better year. So I'm starting as I mean to go on, living life to the fullest. This shot was taken this morning of the first sunrise of the new decade. Happy New Year to all of my friends and family.

My last photo of 2017, taken up at Lough Eske the morning after the wedding of Julie and Steve. What an amazing year it's been. My first full year as a professional photographer and Alan Byrne Photography has gone from strength to strength. To everyone who's helped me along the way, and to everyone who's allowed me to photograph them and their loved ones, thank you very much. Here's to 2018!!!

The first of a few deliveries going out over the next few days. Great knowing so many of my prints are going to be hanging on walls all over Dublin and beyond.
