I've been staring at these photographs for the last few days, trying to figure out what exactly I love so much about them.
I don't think it's the dress.
Although the dress is extraordinary.
Ciara's sister-in-law, Maria, made it for her. Not altered it. Not customised it. Made it.
Every stitch, every fitting, every detail.
And somehow that feels very fitting because this entire wedding felt deeply personal.
Ciara did her own makeup. The morning was calm. There was no rushing around, no pressure, no feeling that we were trying to create a wedding for social media.
Just people who loved each other and trusted the process.
As photographers, we often talk about beautiful light, styling and locations. And yes, this wedding had all of those things.
But what I'll remember most is how it felt.
Relaxed.
Authentic.
Uncomplicated.
The kind of day that reminds me why I fell in love with photographing people in the first place.
I'm only partway through editing, but I couldn't resist sharing a little glimpse of this beautiful morning.
