Absolutely honoured to have been able to visit Uisneach today for the first tour of their new season and have the incredible Marty Mulligan connect us all to the Place, The Stories, The History and the Spirit.

It's broken my heart to drive past the closed gate everyday this past year so being able to return to the heart of the country and to Eirú has been like a homecoming. Massive thanks to Marty and Frances and all the team there and can't wait to get back.

The Gaelic Chieftain. - the TII (the national roads authority in Ireland) have a great record of promoting the arts and installing feature sculptures along new routes. I'm going to try and catalogue as many as I can but this will always be my favourite. Was passing yesterday and had to stop again. Maurice Harron's sculpture; The Gaelic Chieftain stands overlooking Lough Key and the N4 Dublin to Sligo road. It looks towards the battle ground of the 1599 Battle of the Curlew Pass.
