I wanted to gently acknowledge my absence on here.

I returned to the UK earlier than planned to be with my parents as we navigate some unexpected health challenges.

I’m taking things one day at a time, but I’ve really felt the kindness from those who’ve checked in — thank you so much ❤️

I’ll be back sharing the remainder of my travels when it feels right. ❤️

🌴 Day 30… Beneath the Waves of the Gili Islands 🌊🐢

Today’s adventure was one I’ll never forget — a full day exploring the magical underwater world of the Gili Islands with my amazing travel buddy Cami.

We began in Gili Air, where colorful coral reefs swayed beneath the surface like living rainbows. The water was crystal-clear, and drifting among tropical fish felt like being inside a dream.

Next, we headed to Gili Meno, home to the iconic underwater statues known as Nest. Created by British sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor, this circle of 48 life-sized figures lies beneath the turquoise shallows, symbolizing the connection between humans and nature. Over time, these sculptures have become living reefs — now covered in coral and alive with marine life.

We also visited a baby turtle sanctuary on Gili Meno, where a kind local explained how they protect turtle eggs and care for hatchlings until they’re about seven months old, giving them the best chance to survive once released into the wild. He was crafting beautiful handmade bracelets and necklaces from natural materials — I couldn’t resist buying three! Each piece now carries a story of care, culture, and conservation. 🐚💙

Our final stop was Gili Trawangan, where we swam alongside gentle sea turtles gliding gracefully through the clear blue. It was humbling, peaceful, and deeply moving — a reminder of how fragile and breathtaking our oceans truly are.

✨ Travel Tip: Bring reef-safe sunscreen, never touch the coral or turtles, and take time to talk with the locals — their stories are what make these islands unforgettable.

Day 18 – Reconnecting Through Sound 🌺

I had the most amazing time at the Pyramids of Chi in Ubud. ✨

Joined two sound healing sessions — one with my new friend Kendal, a beautiful soul from the UK who now lives in Bali as a coach and sound healer, heading up the session. 🌿

The gongs and instruments created the most incredible energy… I could literally feel the vibrations flowing through me. Left feeling so grounded, relaxed, and completely renewed. 🙏

If you’re ever in Bali, this is such a powerful place to reconnect with yourself.

If you haven't tried sound healing before, you should give it a go. It's such a magical experience.

✨ When you travel solo, you find out what you’re truly capable of — even if that means zip-lining over rice fields in Bali 😅💚

🌿 Day 17 – Exploring Ubud with Gede Sudarta ❤️

Before my yoga retreat, I wanted to soak up a little more of Bali’s magic — so I spent the day with Gede Sudarta, chilled out, most spiritual (and funniest) guide you could hope for. 🌞

Our adventure?
🌊 Tegenungan Waterfall
🦋 Kemenuh Butterfly Park
🌾 Tegallalang Rice Terraces — the holy trinity of Ubud!

When I started this trip, I promised myself I’d say "yes" to new experiences — even the ones that scared me a little (and a lot). Gede made sure I kept that promise 😂

He took me to a tiny local warung and encouraged me to try goat soup and satay (non-spicy, of course, thankfully 😅).
Was I worried about Bali belly and dying dramatically in a rice field? Maybe.
Did I survive? Absolutely.
Did Gede finish my satay when I was full? Of course. Legend. 🙌

Then came the zip wire… 😳
Now, heights and I are not friends — but standing above that breathtaking valley, I thought, 'f**k it — I’m doing it'.
And it was epic. I screamed (loudly 😂) I laughed, I flew. 💨

Travel magic happens when you say *yes* — to fear, to food, to life....

And have a fabulous tour guide Gede. Thank you so much Gede. You're a legend 💚✨
