When I started photography, I had absolutely no idea how to build a brand. 😅 I just wanted to take good photos. But over the years, I realised that having a strong and cohesive visual identity is a must. Specially when you’re trying to turn your photography into a real business.

By then, it was extremely hard to do it yourself but nowadays, with platforms like Design.com, you can create professional photography assets in seconds, including your logo!

If your photography is starting to look professional but your branding hasn’t quite caught up yet, this is for you. ❤️

AI is changing photography whether we like it or not… but I think a lot of photographers are looking at it the wrong way. 👀

I’ve been a photographer for over 15 years, and I’ve seen our industry change A LOT. Personally, I’m not afraid of AI. I actually think there are so many ways we can use it to make our lives easier without replacing the creativity and human connection behind photography.

But there are definitely things we should be worried about too.

I wanted to sit down and have a proper conversation about this because I keep seeing photographers blaming AI for everything that’s happening in the industry, and I don’t think AI is the real problem.

One thing I love as much as taking photos, is editing them! 🎨

I can spend hours experimenting with colours, light and tiny details until an image feels exactly how I remember the moment. Editing should create the mood you want the photos to transmit, and it should bring back the feeling you had when you pressed the shutter.

The other day I was looking back at my photos, and it’s crazy to see how much they’ve changed since I moved to Bali already over 2 years ago. Not just my editing, but the way I approach photography and creativity as a whole.

After 15 years behind the camera, I’m still learning, evolving, and seeing things differently. I think that’s the beauty of photography. No matter how long you’ve been doing it, there’s always something new to discover. ✨

Well… over two and a half years. And it feels like yesterday when I took that flight alone, leaving London behind with just my camera bag and a fairly small suitcase.

Starting from zero… again. On another continent.

It’s insane how much your environment does to you.

How much it can change you, give you, inspire you, and heal you.

I fell in love with this island over 11 years ago, and back then, I couldn’t even imagine that one day I’d be living here.

I have so much to say that it was impossible to fit it all into one video, but at least I tried. I might even make a part 2… or a part 3. Who knows.
