A lot of photographers are afraid of shooting in harsh light… and honestly, I get it. It’s unforgiving, contrasty, harder to work with, and definitely not what I naturally gravitate toward either 😅
But sometimes you have to stop playing it safe creatively and try something different just to see what happens.
These are quite different from what I usually shoot too: direct sunlight, black & white, wider focal length… and I ended up really loving how raw and cinematic they felt. A good reminder that experimenting is what keeps photography exciting.

Got some water droplets on my lens during this beach shoot and instead of wiping it off… I left it. Shooting backlit, it created these soft flares and a dreamy glow straight out of camera ✨
Honestly loved the effect. Would you keep it or clean your lens?

I don’t usually share much personal stuff here, but I’m entering a new chapter of my life and wanted to bring you along. For the longest time, I wasn’t sure if motherhood was meant for me, I’ve always been so focused on my career. But having an amazing partner made me realize that I can truly have both.

Spending our babymoon in Bali felt so special, it’s one of my favorite places in the world, and I’ll cherish these memories forever.

And don’t worry, I didn’t skip filming while I was there. I definitely have some dreamy photoshoots with stunning models coming your way soon! 😄

Can you guess the baby’s gender? 💕💙

I used to pack a full laptop setup just to back up files while traveling… now this little thing does it for me

The Professional Workflow Go has totally simplified my travel workflow. I can back up my memory cards straight to an SSD with just my phone—no computer needed.

It’s small, fast, and even charges my other gear if needed. What more can I ask for? 😅

Would this be something you’d actually use on the road?

Shooting with a small but mighty setup 💪📸
You can still create dreamy, professional portraits even with budget-friendly gear
I use Canon RP with RF 50mm F1.8, can you believe this full frame setup is under $1000?

After watching Nosferatu, I got totally obsessed with the nighttime scenes, especially the ones with Lily-Rose Depp as Ellen. They were just so beautiful and moody, I had to try and recreate that vibe myself.

I used the Molus X100 RGB, placed it outside the window, and set it to a bright blue to fake that moonlight glow 🌙 Then we added a candle for some warm contrast,it gives the shot more depth, and I also love using props like this because it helps the model find natural poses without overthinking it.

If you want to see exactly how I shot this, the full tutorial is up on my YouTube channel 😉

Can you believe these were taken with a $600 lens?!
Full autofocus, sharp results, gorgeous bokeh and budget friendly, what more could you ask for in a portrait lens?
Shot on the new Viltrox 85mm f/1.4 PRO with the Sony A7R V.
