Little Vampire 🧛

Do you ever curious on how does mosquitoes look like? Today let me show you the guy that always sucks your blood. This mosquito you see right now was the perpetrator of a very horrible crime, which was sucking my precious blood JK. When I try to clap this guy. I only manage to hit one of it wings.

After I saw that this mosquito still alive, I decided to take some shots to see how close I can get to this small object. I’m quite satisfied with the results. But to be honest I wish I can get even closer and capture more detail that I can achieve right now. Do you any suggestion on how to get a greater magnification or maybe the perfect settings to get those kind of shots? I currently using my Laowa 100mm 2:1 Macro. I would be very happy for any inputs that you guys share with me 😆

Planthopper nymph

Spiders, flowers, flies are some objects that I often posted on my Instagram. But today why not we take a look at something different. What you guys see right now is a small and snowy planthopper nymph. I took 2 photos using two different gears and taken on different places. Unfortunately, the one that I took with my Dslr is only a single shot which is the reason why the DOF is very shallow.

Thankfully, with my DIY Macro lens attached to my phone, I got one image that is better in terms of the DOF.

Testing lensbong macro baru

Karena tipe 25mm udah susah dapetnya, kita coba lagi rakit yang baru. Lensbong kali ini ukurannya kurang lebih mirip tapi bisa nangkap frame yang lebih luas. Hasil fotonya juga punya detail yang merata. So far, bisa dibilang hasil foto lensbong jni memuaskan. Tapi, kita bakal coba lagi beberapa hari kedepan buat ngetes lensbong ini di kondisi foto yang beda-beda. Moga-moga kalau bagus kita bisa tambah lagi variasi lensbong macro nya hehe. Ada masukan untuk lensbong yang lagi kita tes ato buat fotonya, feel free buat share ya 😆

Another Old Photo from 2018

Action shot of a spider preying on a honeybee. This photo is very old shot. It was taken 4 years ago using my Samsung S7 Edge with additional DIY macro lens. That time, I used to take a lot of shots so this photo maybe skipped when I select some photos to be uploaded. Few days ago, I checked my harddisk and found this shot. When I see this photo, I feel like this photo is still good enough even though it was taken long ago and with a smartphone. After I imported it and decided to edit the photo. The result is pretty nice which is why I post this picture to Instagram. Have you ever take macro shots using smartphone camera?
