MY COMPLETE 9 DAYS VIETNAM ITINERARY.
For those of you who are planning to visit this country for the first time.
-
I would recommend you to start at the northernmost city and the capital of the country Hanoi.
This city with its bustling traffic and old rustic charm will be a nice start to see what the country has to offer. There are also many attractions such as Ha Long Bay and Ninh Binh that you can explore from here.

If you want a more laid back experience and see the lush greeneries of Vietnamese countryside, you can do a day trip to Ninh Binh, where you can ride along the Tam Coc River and hike to Hang Mua Peak

Next, the highlight of my trip, 6 hours from Hanoi, is the beautiful Sapa. Breezy weather, with nice atmosphere, and be sure to climb up to Fansipan mountain, highest mountain in the Indochina peninsula.

We’ll then move to Central Vietnam, from Hanoi to Da Nang, and 30 minutes car ride to Hanoi. This ancient city feels like a laid back version of Bali, with charming yellow walls and lanterns. Also try to enjoy its vibrant night life

Lastly, end your trip in Ho Chi Minh City. Used to be known as Saigon, the capital of Southern Vietnam, this city is a good mix of modern and traditional Vietnam. With hip coffeeshops, war memorial landmarks, and idyllic atmosphere, it is surely worth the visit.
