Standing Where The First President Stood (1960)
If these pillars could speak, they would scream history. 🏛️✨
This isn't just an old building. This is Babancong, the silent witness of Garut's transformation over the last century.
Built during the colonial era, this podium was once the center of power. Imagine standing right here on this very floor, exactly where Indonesia's first president, Soekarno, stood in 1960 to address thousands of people and crown this place as the "Diamond City." 💎
From the black-and-white memories of the past to the vibrant colors of today, the architecture remains sturdy, watching the city change around it.
It’s amazing how a single spot can hold so many stories, isn't it?
📍 Location: Babancong, Garut Square (Alun-Alun Garut), West Java, Indonesia.
