ArtScience Museum is a museum within the integrated resort of Marina Bay Sands in the Downtown Core of the Central Area in Singapore. Opened on 17 February 2011 by Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, it is the world's first ArtScience museum, featuring major exhibitions that blend art, science, culture and technology. 🗿

The architecture is said to be a form reminiscent of a lotus flower. It is designed by the Moshe Safdie. 👷🏻‍♂️

Referred to as "The Welcoming Hand of Singapore" by Las Vegas Sands chairman Sheldon Adelson, the ArtScience Museum is anchored by a round base in the middle, with ten extensions referred to as "fingers". The design concept for each finger denotes various gallery spaces sporting skylights at the "fingertips", which are included as sustainable illumination for the curved interior walls. 🏛️

Taman Ujung ‘water palace’, with its complete and official designation of Taman Sukasada Ujung, is located in the village of Seraya in Karangasem regency. It's the sister site of Tirta Gangga, also built by the late king of Karangasem. The complex consists of various large pools and historic structures set against a backdrop of Mount Agung and the eastern shoreline. 🏝️

The site suffered near devastation by showers of hot ash following the eruption of Mount Agung in 1963, and also weathered an earthquake in 1979. Restoration efforts throughout the decades helped it on its way to its current splendour, and it continues to appeal to both locals and visitors. ⛲

Combinations of Balinese and European architecture are evident through its ornate pillars, statues and garden and pool features. And much of its scenic appeal owes to the blend of manmade structures amid natural panoramas. 🏞️

Siloso Beach Singapore is a clean, sandy cove on Sentosa Island, just 30 minutes from the bustling city centre. The beach is popular with families throughout the day and takes on a partying vibe at night. It is one of the best places in Singapore to relax and take in the scenic coastline. 🏝️

Much like other elements of Singapore, Siloso Beach is not a natural landmark. The sand on the beach was imported from Australia and is kept exceedingly clean. It was man-made to give locals and visitors a nice coastal stretch to relax on. Siloso has more amenities than nearby Palawan Beach. 🏖️

As I woke to the sun rushing through my window
My mind was filled with thoughts of her
As the sun filled my room with warmth it reminded me
Of the warmth I feel from within her heart
I walk outside into the beautiful warm sunshine

I stand and close my eyes, I feel her hands touch me

Lake Tamblingan lies in a plateau inside an ancient volcanic caldera. Inside the caldera are several dormant ancient volcanoes and other caldera lakes to the east of Lake Tamblingan: Lake Buyan and Lake Bratan. Lake Tamblingan is the smallest lake inside the caldera. The lake location, over a 1000 meter high plateau, gives it an alpine climate. Pristine rainforest with orchids and macaques covers the shore of Lake Tamblingan. Only one village exist on the shore of Lake Tamblingan, the village of Gubug, at the southern shore of the lake. 🏡

The water level of Lake Tamblingan changes depending on the intensity of the rainy season. During intense rain period, some temples along the shore can get inundated. 🌊

Marina Bay is a bay located in the Central Area of Singapore, surrounded by the perimeter of four other planning areas, the Downtown Core, Marina East, Marina South and Straits View. The area surrounding the bay itself, also called Marina Bay, is a 360 hectare extension to the adjacent Central Business District. It is also considered the 'newer' downtown of Singapore, as it is mostly built on reclaimed land from the Singapore River during the late 1960s and early 1970s. Some well-known buildings in this area include Gardens by the Bay, the Marina Bay Sands, Marina Bay Financial Centre, The Sail @ Marina Bay, Marina One and Suntec City. It is also where the grandstand and pit building of the Marina Bay Street Circuit is located, where it is most commonly used for the Singapore Grand Prix. 🏁

The National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall (Chinese: 國立中正紀念堂) is white with four sides. The roof is blue and octagonal, a shape that picks up the symbolism of the number eight, a number traditionally associated in China with abundance and good fortune. Two sets of white stairs, each with 89 steps to represent Chiang's age at the time of his death, lead to the main entrance. The ground level of the memorial houses a library and a museum documenting Chiang Kai-shek's life and career, with exhibits detailing Taiwan's history and development. The upper level contains the main hall, in which a large statue of Chiang Kai-shek is located, and where a guard mounting ceremony takes place at regular intervals. 👮🏻‍♂️
