π Iβm rather a shy artist...
I tend to do things quietly, tucked away in my little corner, usually somewhere behind a lens, behind a screen.
Being at the centre of attention, standing in front of my own work while people look at it, ask questions and expect me to talk about itβ¦ is not exactly where I feel most comfortable. π
β¨οΈ And yet, this exhibition turned out to be such a rewarding experience.
What I loved most was sharing my photographs with a real audience, rather than through a screen.
Watching people discover my art, seeing their reactions, hearing what they saw in the images, answering their questions, and sharing the stories and processes behind them.
Their curiosity and enthusiasm made me realise how much I enjoy these moments of exchange, and how different it feels when the work becomes a starting point for a real conversation.
In a way, this exhibition forced me to step out of my little cave.
And Iβm really grateful it did ! π€
It reminded me that, as much as I love creating quietly on my own, there is something incredibly meaningful about meeting people, sharing my passion with them, and seeing my work exist between us, in a real space, with real reactions and real conversations.
One of the underwater models also joined me to share her own experience of being part of the photographs.
Having her there brought another, very personal perspective to the work, and made the conversations with visitors even more special.

It was a little outside my comfort zone, and perhaps it was exactly where I needed to be.
