Dear Bali Bride to Be,
Bali is a dream wedding destination, and for good reason. But there's one thing many couples forget to plan for: the unexpected. Bali's weather has grown increasingly unpredictable in recent years. Months that were once reliably sunny can now bring sudden, heavy rain. Whenever possible, choose a venue with an indoor backup space. If that's not available, a tent is always worth the investment.
After nearly 18 years of documenting weddings across Bali, I can tell you that the most memorable weddings aren't defined by perfect décor, a stunning venue, or clear skies. They're defined by the couple.
I've seen couples devastated over flowers that were the wrong shade, or a sign printed in the wrong font. And I've seen couples dance through a rainstorm at their own reception, genuinely happy, fully in the moment. A truly perfect wedding isn't one without problems. It's one where two people choose joy, regardless of what happens. Because in many ways, that's exactly what marriage itself will ask of you."
