To my friends that fly a drone in the U.S. for recreational purposes. You are required to have A FAA aircraft registration and a completed FAA safety test. This is for all drones .55 lbs and over. If your drone footage is ever used for commercial ( makes money ) reasons a FAA commercial license is required regardless of the drone size. The registration has been required for some time but the safety test is a new law. I hope this helps everyone avoid a unpleasant interaction and possible fines.

I needed a way to protect my large dome port when I carry it in my backpack because it was too big to fit in my pelican case. I searched the internet for a solution to no avail. Necessity is the mother of invention. I ordered a piece of lexan and used a heat gun to bend the edges to fit the contour of the lens. Latex bungees and nylon guides with stainless hardware keep it secure and in place.
