A highly aesthetic and well-balanced association of lustrous, translucent smoky quartz crystals with vivid amazonite and a delicate white albite “rosette”. Notably, pieces from this locality are often repaired or restored, making this completely natural, undamaged specimen a particularly rare find. Chandelier Pocket, Sky Hawk Claim, Teller County, Colorado, USA, 72x47x42 mm - in my (László Kupi) collection by courtesy of Prospector Joe & Pinnacle 5 Minerals.

One of the most important pieces I had the privilege to photograph this year is this mind-boggling, sculptural native silver from the famous Kongsberg Mine, Buskerud, Norway. The specimen was discovered in 1938 in a pocket alongside two other major pieces and has been preserved in perfect condition for nearly 80 years. This magnificent silver also holds the record as the most expensive single specimen ever sold at a mineral show (Denver Hardrock Summit 2025).
21.5 × 17.8 × 16.5 cm — photographed for the Pinnacle Collection.

A close-up of a boulder opal showing its characteristic ironstone matrix with bright blue-violet opal seams. The opal filled up the voids of contraction cracking in the concretion. The contrast between the iron oxide hues and the opal’s diffraction colors highlights the complex formation history of these Queensland deposits. Field of view is 4cm - photographed for Kayla Barbour (Opal Dreamer).
