Wallpaper edition "Vallis Aurea"

While traveling through the Pozega countryside, I came across a landscape that immediately reminded me of the classic Windows XP wallpaper "Bliss".
I couldn't resist and snapped a photo of this beautiful landscape. Who knows, maybe one day it will appear on a new Windows desktop. 🙂

Jeste li ikad čuli za tačke, odnosno tačkrle?
To je tradicionalno slavonsko jelo - „torbica“ od tijesta punjena domaćim pekmezom od šljiva i uvaljana u pržene krušne mrvice. Nekad nezaobilazni desert, danas je prava delicija čiji se recept prenosi generacijama.

Kako bi se ovo jelo sačuvalo od zaborava, KUD Zora iz Piškorevaca je 2022. godine pokrenuo Tačkijadu, gastronomski susret posvećen upravo tačkama. Na natjecanju se bira najbolji kuharski tim, a posebnost je u tome što su svi posjetitelji ujedno i žiri koji svojim nepcem odlučuje tko radi najbolje tačke.

Ove godine imao sam priliku biti na 4. Tačkijadi u Piškorevcima, te vam kroz nekoliko fotografija želim pokazati cijeli proces izrade ovog jela; od tijesta i punjenja do mirisnih, gotovih tačaka.
Slavonija i dalje čuva svoje okuse, a tačke su jedan od onih recepata koji dokazuje da je u jednostavnosti prava čarolija.

Dangerous beauty.
Nose-horned viper (Vipera ammodytes)
In the last few days i have been walking on a mountain through relatively remote area with thick vegetation.
On two occasions, due to carelessness i almost caught a viper on a branch with my hand, and it was same this time!
That's why you should be careful when moving through dense vegetation, especially at this time of year when vipers climb on a branches to hunt and keep warm in the sun.
Have you ever seen a viper on a branch? 🙂
