Welcome to Korčula, often called 'Little Dubrovnik' by Croats! 👑
A beautiful, picturesque island in the south of the Adriatic Sea, surrounded by the clearest water I have ever seen, characterized by its stunningly untouched nature and the eponymous city bursting with tradition and history.

We're moving further south down the beautiful Croatian coast, reaching St. Nicholas' Fortress, Sibenik.
This spot had dwelled on my mind for a long time, especially during the entire past year, when I was cruising all over Dalmatia, but I just never got a chance to make a stop in Sibenik and capture it. And then, when I finally managed to spend a few days there, I nearly missed it! I totally miscalculated the amount of time needed to pass all 5 km to reach the fortress (or maybe I just had way too much fun taking photos along the way), and I arrived at the fortress 5 minutes before sundown. I was able to capture only a few photos before it got completely dark. Still, it was totally worth the walk, having my hands frozen, and taking a long walk back in pitch darkness.
(Not so) fun fact: the folder from that trip got corrupted and all of the photos got deleted, so this is one of the few photos that I was able to recover. Having experienced that, this photo bears even greater meaning.

Throwback to the longer, warmer, and sunnier days. 🌞🌊
Just as it's starting to get all cold and gloomy outside, in the next couple of days we're about to go on a road trip down memory lane across the beautiful Croatian coast, where the skies are clear, the air is fresh, the sea is tinted in all the shades of blue, and the sun never stops to shine.

A photo which is very dear to my heart. Firstly, it captures the very symbol of Istria - the "kazun", a motif which I always wanted to photograph. Secondly, it reminds me a lot of warm, calm, and quiet summer nights that I'm craving so much right now ☺️

With nice sunny weather that we've had in the past few weeks and spring approaching, it's time to move away from snow and mountains for a bit. 🌄🌻
Of course, we're heading back to my home region of Istria. This time, no misty sunrises or flashy sunsets, but rather a perfectly calm starry night! It's definitely hard to shoot, sometimes hard to focus and almost always hard to edit, but it's such a special atmosphere that I wish that I could do photo shoots like this more often. :)

When a location looks so good that you decide to photograph it at sunset, in pitch darkness, and then again at sunrise. 🌄⛰️
This is exactly what happened when I saw this place! We stayed in Cervinia for less than 24 hours and we managed to photograph it in so many different light conditions that I've barely scratched the surface in selecting and editing all the photos that I like.

As it is with most great things in life, we hadn't planned on visiting this location at all - we just found ourselves there. ☺️
And I'm so glad that we did! Such a simple, and yet such a moody atmosphere, which we stumbled upon in the middle of nowhere while driving peacefully through Slovenia. All of a sudden I heard .maric shouting: "Look at those clouds! Stop! Stop the car right here!". Eventually, this turned out to be one of my favourite shots from that day.

Digging very deep into the archives. 2016 and two crazy people going on a trip to Slovenia only a day after a snowstorm had been announced.
The atmosphere here was incredible as the clouds were circling these mountain tops and the light was coming in and fading out minute by minute. I'd love to revisit this place in spring or autumn. 2021, please be good to us 🙏

What is it in these high, bleak, rocky mountain tops that's so intimidating and magnificent at the same time? I have no idea. But I will keep looking for an answer... by observing more mountain tops :)
I just love the way they make me feel small and incredibly human, it makes me appreciate life.

I came here just for this view! 🏔️😍
There are many reasons why we go to these crazy remote places. Sometimes it's because we desire peace and quiet, at times a breath of fresh air, and other times we just want to find a piece of adventure and live an active lifestyle.
This time, I came specifically for this view, and I hadn't even known that until this magnificent scene started to reveal itself right in front of my eyes that very morning. Suddenly, all of the pain in our legs, all those lengthy hikes, barely any sleep we got, our heavy backpacks, and long days ahead were SO worth it. My heart was in a happy place.
I would love to see this one printed out on a super big format one day and hung on the wall. This photo really is one of the special ones.

It reminds me too much of it. Either that, or I'm craving chocolate, badly. 😬 Even though I love those wide shots that capture the whole landscape and all of its surroundings, I have to admit there's something impressive about these mountain peaks that tells a completely different story when looked up close.

Sunrises, the most precious gold to be found on Earth 😍🪙
Daytime is nice, sunshine is pretty cool, blue skies are lovely, sunsets are their own kind of beautiful... but there's just something quite magical about sunrises!
It must be that peace, quiet, and stillness, along with the amazing feeling that the whole world is asleep and that you're the only one out there looking at this breathtaking colorful light show that is taking place right in front of your eyes. I absolutely love the feeling and can't get enough of it!.
