The inspiration comes from the strong office aesthetic of the early 2000s, hight tech architecture, and chrome materials. The series imagines a couple who steal just thirty minutes from the pace of corporate job for a brief photo session, exploring the idea that even within the rush of everyday life, there is always space to pause, connect with the person beside you, and remember what truly matters.
I’ve always believed that architecture and people are deeply connected—that they complete one another and together form a whole. It’s a relationship I often try to express through my work. I had wanted to visit the Lloyd’s Building for years, but somehow it came into my life at exactly the right moment.
Lloyd’s Building (Richard Rogers, 1986)
Designed as the headquarters of the Lloyd’s of London insurance market, the Lloyd’s Building is one of the most important examples of High-Tech architecture. Richard Rogers radically turned the building “inside out” by placing its elevators, staircases, pipes, ventilation systems, and services on the exterior, leaving the interior completely open, flexible, and adaptable to future change.
This approach was not merely an aesthetic choice, but an expression of the belief that architecture should honestly reveal how it functions. Rather than concealing its structure and technology, the building transforms them into its defining architectural identity. Today, the Lloyd’s Building is regarded as one of the landmark works of the High-Tech movement and one of the defining symbols of contemporary London architecture.
