The beautifully dark Croatian skies never fail. Although I couldn't get away from any immediate street lamps it did help illuminate the foreground.

I can't put into words how structured the Milky Way is to the naked eye in Croatia all the way from the Sagittarius region , through Scutum, the Great Rift and to Cassiopeia. Also having a new moon made it perfect seeing conditions.

A beautiful morning boat trip over to the island of Brač. Our second visit to this amazing island and won't be the last I'm sure!

Not often I take my camera gear to shoot normal stills but did on this trip and I'm glad I did.

The faint region of the Milky Way with the constellation of Cassiopeia shining bright and also Andromeda making an appearance.

One from a 16km walk to the tower and back

Kept it light and just took my Sony and 40mm lens.

Some beautiful side light catching the tower and the long grass, still my favourite place.

One I've sat on for a while.

A tracked sky image of the Milky Way Core I took whilst sitting on the beach in Croatia.

A challenging night due to clouds continually forming where the core was.... Surprise surprise the entire sky was clear apart from near the core. I managed to get one image from a full set that was cloud free.

Contains the Sagittarius star cloud and
The Lagoon , Eagle, Trifid and Omega Nebulas (purple coloured)

Il have another attempt in the future to get some greater detail.
